But the thing is, and why you have to (old hippy alert) question everything, you don't have the full story.
What if he was given several warnings, and what if after the warnings they fined him, then after that they sentenced him to a three-day jail term and he still continued.
What if no matter what they did at midnight every night he blared those love songs just to frustrate his neighbors? It could have not been his enjoyment of music that was the problem but his using said music as a tool in a previous squabble. What better way to get vengeance against a neighbor than to keep him up and drive him crazy with the same intolerable song every night for hours on end.
I still think it's inhumane to take away someone's right to listen to music. I mean come on, that's absurd! there is absolutely nothing you could say, no circumstances that would make me think this guy DESERVED to not be able to listen to music anymore or that it was a fair punishment.
Kean agrees: Shawshank is my favourite film. If I can post some Andy, I will.
All I have to say - Take away my music and I will punch you in an area that would be incredibly unpleasant.
I understand how frustrating it can be to live next to someone that is playing loud music, but I tell you what - I find babies crying to be 10 x more annoying. Ban the damn baby next door and take THAT away before taking away music. Or power drills. Gross.
This is just another example of boring people complaining about petty things because they have nothing better to do then stir.
A neighbour, who refused to be named, said: "It was horrible, truly horrible - nobody could get a decent night's sleep because this guy was blaring out love songs all through the night.
