Chickie here! 🙂 As if you couldn't tell by the name....although that isn't even my real name, so....never mind 😀

I, in response to Mr. Pointy's comment, am sort of equally obsessed with the combination of spectacular storylines and mythology, FINE looking actors, and great relationships-pretty much just obsessed with the overall story in general 🙂

Judging by the females i've seen, yes most tend to be obsessed with James or David, but for me it was the mix of characters and the storylines that got me hooked.

One of those characters being played by Christian Kane, I'll bet 😉

I'm female. And like most females I obsessed over Angel, but now I'm more mature (yeah, right...lol..) I appreciate the storylines more 😀

im gay....... ::huh1::
Don't sweat it MSD - according to a tabloid quiz, I turn out to be a lesbian, so I guess I'm gay too. Not bad for a middle-aged straight guy - the quiz didn't specify it was for women only🙂
The way I look at it was illustrated nicely by the pop star formerly-known-as-gay Tom Robinson (he wrote the song "Glad to be gay" btw). There is a continuum which runs from straight to gay and most of us veer to one end or the other but sometimes we veer towards the middle...

I watch Buffy and I'm not gay, LoL. Are you talking about bisexual people, Mr. Pointy, when you mention in the middle?

Well, I was 8 when the show premiered, I don't think I was in that mind-frame yet.

Good point!
You know that's weird... I never really realized how long ago the show began. I think I was 7... Wow I was so little. And to imagine I'm now a high school sophomore. Time really does fly!

Not specifically. I think what Tom Robinson meant (or the meaning I got from it, anyway) is that most people aren't always exclusively gay or straight - think same-sex "crushes" that happen in our teenage years. Tom himself was a leading gay activist/pop star in the '70s and '80s and now, I understand, is in a heterosexual relationship.

For me, it's not really an issue. I know gay people encounter a lot of prejudice but to my mind a person's sexual orientation is nobody's business but theirs.

Yeah, same with me. I also don't know who Tom Robinson is except the information you've told me.

I've PM'ed you a bit of info about Tom. I always thought his music was worth a listen.

Oh dear. Girls doubling up on the guys - spooky. Just joking. Go girl-power. Nice of you ladies to let us hang out here with you.

Things seem to be changing though. I remember back in the Buffy days it felt more like 10 to 1, girls to guys. I read recently where the largest growing demographic of Angel viewers is young males.

Another interesting thing about how things seem to be changing... I remember there used to be a popular thread on this board early Buffy season 7. It was called "What's your sexual orientation?"

At that time there seemed to be a real strong gay-lady presence. It's kind of sad. They seem to have deserted us.

I remember you had to be real careful about dissing Kennedy. I always ended my Kennedy disses with a little remark concerning how much I liked Tara.

Dissing Kennedy was ever illegal? I've always felt that Kennedy was down on the bottom of the list just before Connor and Riley!
