Is anyone here a Battlestar fan? I love the show! It's my fave show on cable now. I never thought there'd be another classic sci-fi show. Anyone not watching it, I highly suggest you check it out. It's nothing like the original.

I've seen the 1st season on DVD. I think it's a really smart, entertaining show, but I don't know many people who actually give a damn...

I like the attempted "realism" (realistic human behavior and dialogue"”by space-opera standards).

It's one of my favourite current shows. Does anyone else think that the camera work/effects in the space scenes owe something to Firefly?

I *adore* Battlestar Galactica. I really like the fact it's not actually scifi but like a Drama set in space, with scifi elements.

I've heard BG uses the same production company for the digital effects? They liked the pseudo-hand-held camera style of Firefly so much, they used the same guys to produce their effects.

I definitely like the rough and tumble docu-feel.

Love the show, too, btw. I especially got obsessive during the Cain Trilogy. And Downloaded was nothing short of a religious experience. And Baltar and Six are OMGPURTY. Yeah, love. Pretty much.

SQUEE *so* right there with you! Downloaded was my favorite of the second season, and I didn't think anything could beat Pegasus.

Hm, I started watching this a few weeks ago, to be honest I didn't watch that much, but I wasn't really hooked.. I didn't find the characters that interesting, but I'm still gonna give it another chance because I have so many friends telling me that it's good..
