im trying to skim through the posts so i dont get "spoiled". the reason being that i was watching an epi of BG the other night and i loved it. it was my first epi. im a virgin to BG.

anyway, how many seasons are there? didnt it start with a movie back in the eighties or something? should i watch the movie first or can i just start watching the series?

oh, and the epi i watched had some girl who had her baby taken from her by a cylon and then the cylon blew her out into space. do you know what season that one is? *i hope i didnt see something that will spoil other epis*

1. This is the fourth(and last)season. The reboot did start with a miniseries in 2003,with the series itself starting the next year. It does help to watch the miniseries first,because the series itself is not that easy to get into without watching it.

2. The ep you describe was from this season;in fact,it was last week's.

The episode you watched was called "The Ties That Bind" and it aired last week. The girl who was killed was Cally, who was married to Tryol, who just found out last season he was a Cylon.

The series is a remake of the 1970's series. It was a mini-series in 2003 where the Cylons wipe out the Colonies, and was picked up as a series in 2005. They are on the 4th and final season.
