BB Ficathon January 2009: Buffy's Birthday-Feedback

Yeah, I know it's late, I was holding back to see if Ken came back online, but alas, that was not to be.

If everyone could forward their fics to me, that'd be awesome.

No worries - yesterday was the first day of a New Year, I am sure we all expect things to be at a slower pace:) Happy New Year by the way!
Tissue alert, man! I love the fact that Buffy got to grow old, though, and had a life full of love and family. I even sort of like that Angel was there for the end.
 
I get the idea that Angel failed to come back 70 years ago because he died... that this isn't Vampire Angel coming to visit her, but Spirit Angel coming to get her: "I'll be waiting for you on the other side."

I really liked yours, was very good. - Just an FYI on mine, I left it open to other interpretation because I didn't want to limit the possibilities of what happened up to this...however I personally agree with your take:)

Interesting, I took it as he had to do something and left and we don't get to find out cuz it's cooler that way, and then he killed himself before she died so he could be with her!
 
Awwwe! Well first of all: major kudos for Buffy/Angel lovin', that put a smile on my face! Really though, it's a really sweet, interesting take on the bangel ship. A lot of people don't explore the age difference and I think that you got the characters bang on. And I love the idea of Angel already being dead (I noticed that you made a point of saying "Angels hand was cold as ice, but that was to be expected of someone who was dead" not undead, as most authors would use), him coming back to "visit" her in her last moments was a tear jerker! Great job, can't wait to see who's up next 🙂

Agreed about the dialouge being in character, a very, very cute one shot! I love your writing style AC, just descriptive enough and it flows really nicely. The Mr. Gordo ending really topped it off too-- a pleasure to read 😀

Makes me thinking that maybe I should start reading more fanfics.

Great stories so far, both of you. I'm not a Bangel fan, but 'We've Got Tonight' was very sweet. Spot-on dialogue in 'Many Happy Returns'.
 
Oh I love the Mr.Gordo story 😀 And yes, everything is very in character, I can really imagine Xander and Buffy mouthing out what you wrote Ac. Awesome 😀
 
That's quite an eventful birthday for the Buffster.

Nothing clears out a party like Xander doing stand-up...

I love this. You really caught the spectrum of brattiness/bickering/loving that would have brought Buffy and Dawn's relationship to where it is now.

I always enjoy the moments when those two remember they love each other.
 
I agree with Andrew...when I read this fic it brought a little smile to my face. Nice work Cangel🙂
