Pretty good ep. Not my favorite as a whole but has some good scenes & lines in it.

What I learned from this episode is that I don't really know who Zac Efron is! (other than possibly a high school musical guy, never got a confirmation on that one, and/or a guy from a Matthew Perry movie)

I also learned that I really need to read the Sheperd comic because I'm still curious about his background.
This was the first episode where I felt I could let go of Adam Baldwin and enjoy Jayne again. I used to love his character.

What I really love in this episode is that A) They leave, leaving River and Simon behind, when it's needed and B) That they come back when they can.

"Yeah but she's our witch"
"You're on my crew... why are we still talking about this?"

I love Mal.

I also love getting to see River dance (and I love that outfit, it's very cute on her and I like the colors!)

Not having a lot of options I can see why Kaylee is so fond of Simon but really, I kind of just want to tell her to move on to another target (if there was one)

Yes, Zac Efron is from High School Musical. And he is in that We Are Your Friends or whatever movie that looks terrible.

Agree on the leaving and coming back 🙂

I love that the opening scene shows River and Simon as happy, carefree children then it cuts to the present day and River is acting crazy and Simon is trying to calm her. It's such a heartbreaking contrast and I finally felt something other than irritation for her.

I didn't like how Simon treated Kaylee but I'm glad she stood up to him. It's a wonder that she likes him at all.

I'm really interested in finding out what Book is all about.

I love that they come back for River and Simon. It reminds me of when the Scoobies defend Tara from her family.
