compared to the boards Im used to. I used to post on punk rock boards which I'll leave namesless, where everyone pretty much hates you until you're there for years. I posted there forever, but got sick of everyone just making fun of each other all the time and hating everything.
Then I come here expecting much the same, because thats what I know, and everyone is so welcoming and nice! Its weird, but good! haha

It is very welcoming. 🙂 I think BB sort of spoils every other forum. I mean that in a good way. 😛 We're so used to how great it is here that when you see other forums you just think 'Pfft, not as good as BB'.

Yeah, I agree with that.
I've been on so many forums where it is like if you're not 'old school' you're opinion is worthless whereas on here it seems a lot more accepting.
 
Well, to be fair, there's also a lot of boards out there that accept you instantly and don't feel the need to take everyhting out on the newbies. I guess I've been lucky so far, cos I can't recall being on any board where people didn't accept me.
Nevertheless, BB is special 😀 When I registered here, I could seriously ot believe how friendly and forthcomig everyone was. I got myself adopted right away, I got helped out, everyone said welcome. And that's what's so awesome about BuffyBoards, the ongoing love among people 🙂

Wanted to mention, love your new username but MAN that's going to take me a while to get used to!
BB is thing I'd never met. It's the best. I wish I was here since the start and watched BB grow up to be like today. 🙂
I was in a music board, which is nothing more than Britney vs Christina and a few of Paris. And most of people argued and were rude. Not mention the fact that they don't have School or Social forum. They have only music and news forums. So guess what, most of people were off topic all the time. 😀
 
Haha, when I read the subject line it made me thirsty for Coca-Cola! It's the word "refreshing." Gets me every time.

In all seriousness, though, I absolutely love this place. Not only can I show up whenever I have a few minutes and just read what others are thinking, we also have fantastic philosophical debates and conversations about various aspects of the shows and the 'verse. *That* is what I was looking for when I joined here and I got it and so much more! Every person I have ever interacted with has been kind and intelligent and just plain awesome.

It's a far cry from the Star Wars board I joined that I got "get out" posts from after I was told by the mod I had to introduce myself. Which is truly sad, but that's another rich universe just waiting for my brain to pick it apart!

Anyways, guys and gals, thanks for being so nice. And bubbly. And refreshing. And for not making me belch like a schoolboy. 😉
 
Yeah, it seems pretty cool so far, from a newbie's perspective. I think the narrow focus helps, too, and not in a bad way. We all know why we're here, and we want to have fun talking about our common bond. I do, anyway :teeth:.

(i have to agree with inthedoorway theres a horror forum i was on, and went back to recently, its slowed down a lot but i was surprised people noticed i wasnt there and had left, as the place was a unch of horror lovers taking the biscuit out of each other all the time, no love shared at all)

Yeah we're all nice 🙂 you should see the horror boards they're filled with really creepy people espicially on Bloody-Disgusting! if you like something the other doesn't they just flip you off.

No i'm not a member to the site but everytime I read stuff on like Scream, Rob Zombie's Halloween, and other stuff it's just bashing and bashing!
