BB meetup America '11- Part 2

The planned President's Day meetup never did happen, right? So I was wondering if anybody was still interested in doing one. For me, summertime is the perfect time for that, the kids & I are out of school. I know for sure I will visiting family in Chicago sometime this summer. Atlanta wouldn't be too far of a stretch to visit, I have a friend there I can see & stay with. I am 4-6 hrs away from Kansas City, St. Louis, and Dallas. A mid-to-upper east coast (NYC, Boston, etc) meetup would probably not work out for me this summer.

Anyway, anybody interested? Any other meeting city suggestions?
 
Since my husband is gone, I'm not going to be able to do it. I don't have anyone to keep my kids for that kind of trip, so I'd have to bring them with me, and this is not the type of thing I'd want to bring my kids to.

Aww, are you sure we can't plan some kid-friendly events? If we did, I bet my kids would want to come! 🙂

Yeah but a) I'm not comfortable bringing my kids around people I've never even met in person before and b) what would I do with my kids at the non kid-friendly events? I won't have someone with me who could watch them in the hotel room, and they're only 8 and 3. LOL
 
Well I could meet up in NYC or Boston in April as i'll be there for a week. Other than that, if we are doing the summer, it'll have to be somewhere nearer to Florida
 
I'd love to say I could do this... but dad just lost his job and Mom just switched medicines and now they cost more... so unless it's somewhere in NC (could even be Charlotte... Carowinds anyone?!), I'm not going to be able to go. I'm not even sure I'm going to be able to go to my Taylor Swift concert...

Oh, I completely understand! Although we could take turns watching the kiddos!

I don't know. I've never drove anywhere outside of St.Louis really. Besides, Edwardsville but I was using GPS and following my mom the whole way.

We should all go to Cali! lol, nah, I'm not even there right now. I'm living in Texarkana right now, so either, Dallas, TX or Little Rock, AR could actually work for me! 😀
But anywhere else not even possible 😛 lol

Yeah, but I'll probably be super-busy at a conference. 🙁 And I forgot that you just learned how to drive. But maybe if Southwest has one of those super-cheap $49 sales!

That stinks.🙁 Yeah, so sayin' "Mom, Dad I'm driving to Tulsa." would go over well.😀 hahaa!! Especially, my dad. He worries I'll get lost or get in a car accident. Protective father.
