BB Update (Mostly) Complete!

I still have a few things I'm working on, but for the most part I feel like I can say that the changeover to the new software is complete.

Some highlights:

• New color scheme with a banner by Black Eye Guy, featuring images from Buffy Season 10.
• There is a brand new Media Gallery for pictures & videos. All the pictures from the old gallery have been transferred over. Please feel free to add images and videos (the videos are linked from sites such as YouTube).
• All members may now use their own custom avatar. Please make sure that you use an image that is large enough - we recommend 200 x 200 pixels. Please remember that all avatars must still relate to the board's theme (off topic avatars are still a perk for the staff for the work they do). If this becomes a problem, we will have to moderate avatar changes. A selection of avatar pictures is available in the Media Gallery, in the "Avatars" category. Directions on how to add these as your avatar are in the Help pages.
  
• You can now update your profile status from the sidebar on the main page.
  
• We've replaced the IRC chat with a Shoutbox.
• All the Quotations from the old board have been transferred over to the new quotation system. Please feel free to add quotations that aren't already in there.
• As mentioned in the other thread, due to privacy and security issues, Tapatalk has not been installed on the new board. We will keep working on making the board styles work well on mobile devices without it.
• Most of the styles from the old board have been made available here. A few that didn't seem up to par were removed, but most were kept. To change your style, at the bottom left of the page you will see your current style's name. If you click on that, it will open an overlay where you can choose from all the styles.
• A couple forums were pared down; for example, the Multiple Characters forum is now just the main Cast & Characters forum: anything that doesn't fit in a subforum can be posted in the main forum.

In the days and weeks to come, the staff will put together some "how to's" for the new features of the board, so keep an eye out for those.
