BB: Who wants to watch some Buffy?

I'm gonna keep my eye on this and hope I can join whenever you do S1-4 of Buffy or Angel episodes. I don't own S5-7 of Buffy but maybe I can work from memory (what I haven't repressed anyway).

Is whatever episode you chose going to be announced in this thread?

Oh you can chose episodes yourself. This thread is a chance for anyone who wants to watch to give a shout out and see if someone else wants to join them for an episode or two. 🙂

Btw- good idea for a thread/source of discussion. :)

Netflix has all of the Buffy (and Angel) seasons available for streaming if that's an option for you.

I'll be watching S5 E12 "Checkpoint" at some point today. 🙂

It's also on Hulu. And the last time I watched 'Angel' on Hulu it skipped the commercials. That's my problem with Hulu, but I guess it's pro/con thing. I can watch the latest episode, but I have to watch commercials. Which was fine when it was like 3 commercials, now it's like 5 or 6. But some shows don't have commercials, and I'm assuming it's the older shows. Cause 'Angel' and 'Law & Order:SVU' don't have commercials. I prefer Netflix though.

I'm going to watch "Bring On The Night" and "Showtime" from S7 tonight around 10:30-11 PM EST. Anyone want to watch with me?

Got out my season 6 box set to watch Bargaining part 1 and 2 and ended up carrying on with season 6.
I've just watched Once More With Feeling, followed by Tabula Rasa... both of which are so much fun. I think Tabula Rasa is probably one of my favs; I can overlook how stupid the loan shark is.

Rewatching it, it feels like a real mixed bag so far. I don't remember it feeling so mixed the last time. The first three episodes are great and then there's the really fun ones like those I just mentioned, but I have to admit, there were times in between where I got a little bored 😕

S6 is the most mixed that you're gonna get- a couple of big highs, LOTS of lows. :(
Realised that Smashed, Wrecked and Gone were on the next disc of season 6, none of which are huge season 6 highlights for me.
So I took a break from season 6 to watch all four of the "Faith is awake" episodes. BTVS- This Years Girl and Who Are You? Followed by Ats Five By Five and Sanctuary. What a fantastic foursome of episodes. Now that is good TV and also how to do a good story crossover!

When Faith shows up, you just know it will be a good episode

I agree, Faith is way better than s6. Great episodes!

That foursome is not only one of the highlights of S4 of Buffy, but on S1 of Angel- Faith really adds a lot to both shows whenever she turns up. 🙂

Plus apparently 'Who Are You' is a personal favourite episode of both SMG and ED- they loved playing each other.

And about S6- 'Smashed' is, for me, where it really starts to dip in quality, and doesn't really recover until 'Villains' much later on.

That definitely came across. The scene with Buffy convincing Giles that it's really her is just so spot on; Eliza nailed Buffy's voice. And you can tell Sarah had so much fun playing a bad ass 😛

Yeah looking at the episode guide, it's definitely where it dips. Plus I miss Giles and I haven't even watched the first episode where he's gone yet. I'm also not feeling the nerd trio the way I did watching it before... I don't know, maybe it's because I know how it ends. Though I did enjoy the mummy hand shenanigans just as much in "Life Serial"

Hey guys, lets try to keep this thread as clean as possible. Individual episode discussions or season thoughts are best taken up in the threads/forums designed for it or the Chatty Room. Here we post what we're watching and see if anyone wants to join us!

Well I would love to get involve on this at some point. I am about to watch The Pack and then Angel from S1 if anyone wants in on that. Proabaly it would be best to discuss things in them in the Chatty room, but I am also open to discussion on individual episodes on here depending on what people think?

Season Six is a bit up and down for me, but I do agree than those are some of the best episodes. I do like you're idea of watching certain charactercetric episodes back to back also. If you are not going to watch them all then it at least does give you a clear narrative, and you can cut through some of the weaker shows that way.
