Barring any unforeseen wrenches in the cogs and gears, Auditions shall be opening April 17.
Until then, we ask that anyone thinking about submitting an audition familiarize themselves with these simple requirements.
This way, we can get right into things on the day without any holdups.

File types can be either audio only (singing-music), or video.
1) There must be a 5-minute time limit on all auditions (audio or video format).
Say the submission consists of singing or other musical presentation. As most songs go over three minutes, we feel contestants shouldn't have to stress themselves with having to cut their audition down.
5 minutes is more than a fair amount and gives you plenty of time to do whatever performance you turn in, no excuses. You only need worry about performing...and we want auditioners to give us the best performance they can muster.
You don't have to use the entire 5 minutes if you don't need to, but it's there for you if you have to.
5 minutes is the absolute limit. Any audition submissions that go over the allotted time will NOT be considered unless it is fixed to comply with that requirement.
File types for both audio and video won't really be a concern for us in terms of delivery, as contestants can upload their audition to a venue such as Youtube or Dailymotion, et al.
Contestants need only provide us with the link to their completed audition.
2) *Contestants will be allowed to have non BB-members assist them in their auditions, (friends and/or family members)....
... .for both video and audio.....but no on-camera duets if it's a VIDEO singing audition. Only the BB contestant may appear on camera.
Friends, relatives, et al may assist with any backing vocals and/or instrumental accompaniment off-camera (unless you have the means to digitally blur/mask their face, in which case they can be allowed on camera). However, this rule obviously does not apply if it's an AUDIO-only audition....or if it's a video act that has nothing to do with music or singing (magic act, for example).
Non-member assistance might help the more shy members among you participate in this competition. And as long as the non-member is completely ok with having their participation posted (even though their own visiblity will be kept as low-key as possible) then we shall have no problems at all in this area.
Additionally, if a BB contestant is wanting to participate, but unsure about showing their face on a video audition, they can always mask their own appearance (again digitally or otherwise) on the video. It isn't absolutely necessary to see your face, as long as your performance is clearly visible (and audible).
And singers don't need a video file at all, unless that's what you want to submit to us. It's all up to you.
3) *Contestants should mark their video auditions with a BB reference......
.....as well as mentioning of same in the clip itself. Or you could hold up a small sign....whichever you'd like to do is fine.
And of course it should go without saying that audition submissions should be kept tasteful, or you will get smacked with an automatic disqualification.
