I was just wondering if the cast of BtVS had a clear run through the entire series or if there were disputes with any contracts?
Did A.S.H have a problem since he kinda went away for a few episodes?

i know that SMG had a problem filming the balcony scene in 'Dead Things' i'm not sure if it involved the script being changed in anyway becasue of her feelings, but she said that she felt it wasn't something she thought Buffy would have done.

ASH's missing eps has more to do with him wanting to spend more time at home in England with his partner and children. as near as i can tell, there was no problem behind the scenes, just Tony's decision.

I seem to remember Emma Caulfield saying she wanted out even before the cancellation was announced.

Nicholas Brendon said he'd come back even to sweep the floors if they needed him.

Alyson Hannigan signed up for the animated series they were proposing, so she was still interested.

There are rumours of spats, and feuds, and such, but it's hard to remember one that can be reported as news. Nothing like the stars threatening to hold their breath until they turn blue if they don't get a producer credit, or such silliness you see on inferior shows. 😉

When I worked as a Chef, I was there for quite a while.
In that time I had three pretty big bust-ups with separate people, yet we ALL continued to work there.
I wouldn't say any of the are my friends, nor were in fact, but by the time I left we all had an understanding and tolerance.
The point is, that was for a year and we had issues.
I wouldn't know what went on behind the scenes at Buffy, Angel or any other TV show ever made, but will bet any amount of money that along the way there have been arguments, fallings out and maybe even threats to leave, that is the price of working so close together for so long.
We will never know what actually happened on those sets simply because even if someone one day does 'tell all' then it will only be their side of the events.

The only major behind the scenes drama I remeber hearing about is the following:

Some former Buffy stunt guy who has a website somewhere on the net, talking about how stuck up SMG was on set.

Alyson Hannigan was apparently upset at Sarah for telling a magazine that she wasnt renewing her contract before she even told any of her cast members.

Sarah and Joss had disagreements over how Buffy should act in Season6, Sarah not enjoying emo-sex with spike Buffy.

But everyone seemed fine with their contracts until Season7 with Sarah/Emma/Joss wanting out and everyone else supposely signed on for a Season8.

Another rumor is that Sarah didn't like how Charisma somehow stole her thunder in the scenes they were in together which is why she was sent to do Angel.

Do you know someone could put these "rumours" into a book, so we can all read and have a good laugh...

IF JM and DB say Sarah is professional, a good person and even TH then i believe em, even though i have issues with her way of telling her co-stars there wasn't to be a season eight, you'd hardly expect all to get on without arguments etc...i work as a Dessert cook, well a microwave technition to be precise, and i have verbal disputs with a breakfast/mains chef, we say some nasty things sometimes but we don't mean it, it is all comic banter.
Plus we enjoy it.

Well apparently Joss told everyone that there wouldnt be a season8, or if there was going to be one, he wouldnt be there for it since he wanted to end the show. And he and Sarah came to a mutual agreement to end it.

Didn't David Boreanaz say in an interview that SMG was a bit of a drama queen?

Whenever I see someone described as professional, I always think that it also implies that the person is a "stuck up tightass with no sense of fun".

Or that professional equates to career driven.

And we all know career driven just means obsessed with money.

Hahaha, I agree. Its like they have nothing else good to say about her
I dont remember him saying anything like that. He has always said how great it was to work with her. And ya everyone says that she is very professional, comes to work on time, knows her lines, etc... But she had a great relationship with all the cast for the first 5 seasons it seemed, it wasnt until Season6 where things started to get edgy.

I'm sure there were many disagreements and things that went on...we will never actually know. You can't trust anything that you've heard, because the percentage that it's correct is probably close to zero.
