Here's a question that might be a little difficult to answer. It's a three part question....

It's about believing. Do you believe in yourself? That you can do some stuff, that you're strong, that you could do something you want and like?
AND do you believe in others? Do you feel you can trust other people?
AND do others believe in you? In what you do, how you do it, believe you've got it?
You can spill your heart if needed!

Yes. I didn't used to... but yes, I do. Sometimes I waver... I have moments, even days of doubt in myself but I end up coming back to "I can do this." So, yes. 🙂

AND do you believe in others? Do you feel you can trust other people?

I'm overly trusting. I trust strangers with delicate info. I believe in my core everyone I meet is a good person until they do something to prove to me otherwise. And even then, I give them way too many chances... The only people I don't really trust is stupid people. If I talk to you and decide you're to dumb for me... I won't tell you anything important.. Part of my "stupidity phobia." (Which I know is horrible, but...)

AND do others believe in you? In what you do, how you do it, believe you've got it?

I suppose this is the question really. In order to succeed at what I want to do, others have got to believe in me, in what I do, how I do it, believe I've got it. I think they should... but I really don't know. In a general sense, yes, probably. I'm willing to wager that people in general probably believe in me in general. But I don't know. I'm not them. Just a few years ago I would have never answered this question with a positive answer. I believed not only did everyone around me NOT believe in me, they were just waiting for me to fail so they could tell me how much I suck and move on. My dad is the only person who makes me feel this way now. It's horrible when I feel like this... just awful.

I don't really believe in myself as much as I should, but I'm a very pessimistic person so I guess that makes sense. I don't really have anything about me to believe in, I'm just here pottering along doing whatever and not really caring about anything much. As far as other people go, I believe in some of my friends, the ones who actually have ambition anyway. I know they'll be successful in the future, they're already pretty successful now in terms of relationships and jobs and stuff. I don't really trust many people as they tend to let you down.

I think my friends to believe in me though, they tend to assume I'll get top marks in everything and be really successful at everything, which can get rather annoying.

Yes I do! But the word would be more "know" than "believe". I know myself. I know what I can do, what I'm capable of. I know my flaws and my qualities. I don't necessarily know what I want, but I know what I don't want.
When I had a lot of exams to resit during summer, I didn't believe I could make it, I knew I could make it. Even if that meant working my ass every single day and only going out a few times. And in the end, well I did it, because I knew what I had to do to succeed.
But sometimes, I'm terribly insecure, and even tough I know myself well, I feel like a complete loser. Fortunately, I know that's always just a phase and I'd say it's even necessary because when I'm down, I always come back stronger, *burning with the fire of motivation*.

AND do you believe in others? Do you feel you can trust other people?

Yes! Sometimes people tell me I have to much faith in people, but I do believe in them. I do believe that an impression can be wrong and people have a lot of good surprises to give. I didn't used to really believe in people. But one of my friends made me change my mind. When I (re)met her after a six years long separation, she became really shy and...asocial. I wasn't feeling comfortable around her because she had "I don't like people vibes". But then we got to (re)know each other and she amazes me more every day. Once she opens up, she's one of the more open-minded, smartest girl I know. And one night at a festival, we were attacked when we were in the tend, and she proved herself to have a clear mind and she was brave. She's the one I can the more discuss with, because even tough she disagrees, she listens to you and tries to understand your point of view. She really is extraordinary. See how high is my opinion of her now, compared to before?
Since, I have faith in people. I know someone shy can hide so many treasures!

And sometimes, I believe more in my friends than they believe in themselves. Like when one thinks she's going to fail, I have something positive to say to every negative thing she has to say. In the end, the person is like 'Oh right, that's not that bad!".

Yes, people believe in me. Sometimes they tease me sooo much I feel like they don't take me seriously, but when I'm down, they are there to make me believe in me again.

I'm mainly posting to answer the second question.

I can count on one hand the people I believe in. Three. Two of them are family members. I typically don't believe in others, nor do I trust easily. I've had too many people betray my trust to just give it away and I don't put faith in people until they've given me a reason to.

Do you believe in yourself? That you can do some stuff, that you're strong, that you could do something you want and like?
I sometimes feel I'm the ONLY one that believes in me. I know I'm a strong woman. I've been through a LOT in my life. I grew up very early. If I put my mind to something, I can do it. I might have to try a few times, but each try makes me work harder to achieve my goals.

Do you believe in others? Do you feel you can trust other people?
This one, no. In my life, it's been proven, time and time again, that I can't really trust anyone. Other people are sent to this world to drain and discourage you. Anyone you try to trust could, at any time, turn on you. The only person you can be sure of is yourself. Everyone else needs to really prove to you that they can be trusted. And even then, can you really be sure? I'm aware that I'm very cynical for my age, but it's gotten me this far in life.

Do others believe in you? In what you do, how you do it, believe you've got it?
That I can't answer. I'm only myself, not everyone else.

Yep. At my advanced age 🙂 I've had plenty of opportunities to prove myself to myself.

AND do you believe in others? Do you feel you can trust other people?

I'm generally pretty trusting, but not more than what's appropriate in the situation.

AND do others believe in you? In what you do, how you do it, believe you've got it?

Yep, happy to say. See above about my advanced age. I think that confidence and a good reputation come with maturity. They're the reward we get for the creaky arthritic knees. 🙂

Some days and situations, yes, I do believe in myself. I can really work myself up so that I can believe that I can overcome different hurdles. Other days and situations I can just feel like giving in, but I don't, I push myself to believe I can do it.

Do you believe in others? Do you feel you can trust other people?
I think I'm way too trustworthy, or possibly just really naive. I've come to believe that people will let you down at some point, so now I have to really get to know someone before I can trust them.

Do others believe in you? In what you do, how you do it, believe you've got it?
No idea. I don't think I can really answer this question. All I know is that I believe in myself, no matter what anyone else thinks.

To a degree, but nowhere near as much as the common human should. Definitely below average.

AND do you believe in others? Do you feel you can trust other people?
Once again to a certain degree. I'm more positive about others ability than my own but only if I really think they can do a certain thing. I don't go around thinking that everyone is better and more able than me. Because they aren't depending on what it's about.

I got some serious trust issues. I can share a certain amount of things but in my life (that's more than double as long than some of yours) there's been one single person I got to the point that I felt comfortable sharing almost anything and way, way more than I've ever did to someone else.

I didn't start out like that, sadly it comes from experience but I'm hoping I'll get to that point with someone again. And it's not that I don't trust anyone at all. Just not to the point that I feel totally comfortable.

AND do others believe in you? In what you do, how you do it, believe you've got it?
Believe I got what? I'm sure others, not everyone obviously, believe in me more than I do. Trust on the other hand seems to be my thing when it comes to this and I'm proud of that. More people than I've ever imagined tell me things or ask for advice, although not always taking them, still come back for more.
