Just watched Spiral and something occured to me. Why did Ben go to help Giles? He must have realised the major possibility of Glory appearing. Surely keeping as far from Dawn as possible would have been a good idea.

Clearly he cared about Buffy and Dawn, so why put them in that danger?

Ok, so he might not have known Glory knew about Dawn, but surely he still wouldnt want her anywhere near them. Especially since she knew the key was human.

Definitely, I always thought Ben should have used his time in that body (uhhh whatever) to try to always keep him and Glory as far away from Dawn as possible.

I wonder if it was something to do with the fact that the people who saw him change into Glory couldn't remember the fact that he had changed, except for Spike. But then, hmm, I do see your point, since Ben knew Glory was inside him. Maybe he wanted to do something to help because he felt guilty about Glory sharing/being inside his body and just wanted to try and help Giles and thought she would be gone for longer.

I wonder what would have happened to Giles if Ben hadn't gotten there though. He could have died so it was lucky for them that he was there. Plus, maybe he couldn't have really turned Buffy down when she said she neeeded his help because he wanted to help her stop Glory.

Yea he prolly just wanted to try and help. But it was kinda stupid of him with him knowing Dawn is the key & him being Glory, bringing her right to them. I guess he didn't know Glory knew but still, bad.

yes excatly..... hello ben u know buffys a slayer... the keys human.... why didnt he try to get away from sunny dale??? when he had time ??? instead of flirting with buffy ?? not a very bright man....and the qwellar demon?? well tiding up after glory i guess.... ( note soz of spelling of qwellar...)

I have no idea what Ben could have been thinking. He's perfectly well aware of the danger. There was the earlier scene in "Blood Ties" between Ben and Dawn at the hospital where Dawn tells him she's the Key and right away Ben tells her to get away just before he morphs into Glory.

This is a longshot here, but I wonder if it's possible that when Ben changes into Glory, or did the first time, he doesn't know Glory is coming and that's why he panics because he knows what will happen? Like maybe he doesn't remember how quickly she will take over his body until it actually happens. Just an idea. But if he knows he has a hell God for a sister, he shouldn't be taking any chances anyway. 🙂
