Best and worst adverts on TV at the moment

That's exactly it...get your rants on about your favourite/most annoying adverts and why you think so!
My personal ones are
1) Glade Air Wisp...one puff...two puffs...three-hundred and eighty five puffs...I mean jeez, does that kid need a life!:toiletcla
2)Oust...come ON PEOPLE! "I can't stand bad odours" The lip-synching is delayed!
3)Any of the Loreal and Maybelline ones


And favourite
1) Sheila's Wheels (I love that guy!)
2) The credit card one with the chameleon:fro: :fightingm
3) The one for chips where people try to find uses for potatos besides cooking them
 
I love all the geico commercials. That little gecko cracks me up. I hate all the commercials where they advertise comcast digital cable. Which is weird because that's what we have at my house.
 
I was going to post about a UK ad that is really annoying me at the moment but damn me if I can remember which one it is...old age 1 Pointy 0 🙂...it's either that or my subconscious has repressed the memory until next time I see it...well done that subconscious!

I can see some confusion arising here - mainly between US and UK ads - so please refrain from casting doubt on a poster's mental state 😉 they may be talking about something that is separated from you by the Atlantic 🙂 Not that anyone would do that, would they? 😉
 
Well I have to dispute one of your favourite ones Araminta. I can't stand Shelia's Wheels it drives me mad.

I also don't like any that promote beauty products, or perfumes they are so annoying.
 
I have to admit, I quite dig the Duck and Dog one for Sky TV. They're silly and fun. "Duck, read my bum!" Theres a line for you!

Yeah, I can understand how some people would find those adverts annoying, after a certain amount of hearing it, you're either ready to chuck the TV out the window or sing along...I guess I'm just the latter!:dance1:
 
I don't really have anything against adverts....but there is one here in America that just annoys the hell outta me.

It's a T-Mobile commercial that involves a young, fast-talking, overcaffeinated teen cheerleader with a high voice....talking on her cell phone. Some of you probably know the one I mean. Her voice goes through your head like a friggin' nail, it gets so high.

I swear, everytime they run that commercial, I'll bet somewhere in the ocean a dolphin has an orgasm.

Man, that's an annoying ad.

Just to add a little more confusion to the mix, we here in the Great White North get lots of commercials that the US doesn't as well...

The one ad campaign that absolutely freaks me out are the Burger King commercials with that puppet-guy...you know, "Wake up with the King," and all that. They really give me the wiggins...brrrrr......
 
I can't stand those Shelia's Wheels ads, too much pink for my liking. I'm not a fan of adverts in general I tend to flick channels when they are on.

Over the years i've had a few favourites but they have mostly been for Irn Bru and some of the S1jobs (Scotland only) ones have been amusing.

At the moment i'd go with my faves being the Yellow Pages ads with James Nesbitt, the haircut and the computer one ranking the best.

I love these adverts too! I think they are so funny. My personal favourites are the Dog training one, and the one where he rings a stylist to sort his friend out, and they turn on him. Very funny.

Me too! I like the one they are doing at the moment about the Sky TV guide changing. It's so typicals of Dog to think he's done something wrong!
 
I don't really have a favourate, but i cannot stand Sheila's wheels, it wasn't bad when it first aired, ok i am lying it was, but it has just been overplayed.
 
The UK ad that has been making me chuckle over the last few days is the Egg credit card one featuring the gay guinea pigs 🙂
 
Can't say I've seen that one...hey, does anyone like the Revels advert with the Chinese men?

Either that, or they're Japanese...I can't tell, but it's funny!

I suspect that it's meant to be set in Vietnam, as the ad is a spoof of the Russian Roulette scenes from "The Deer Hunter"...but I suppose it doesn't matter a great deal 😉
 
I dunno i used to like the one for sprint or something where he's like... Its my way of sticking it to the man, and his assistant says, but sir you are the man, so your sticking it to yourself and the boss guy is like maybe... i dunno for some reason i liked it... call me strange
