Best April Fools Joke?

The local radio station here announced that Evanescence, Foo Fighters, Trapt, and a few other bands would be performing today for free at the Fairgrounds. I guessed it was a joke, despite their very convincing attributes (interviewing random people, live static feed, a re-used Dave Grohl interview), but figured, "hey, why not..either way I'm missing school". So a group of friends had already left ahead of us, and they called when they got there with the news that the only thing there was a bunch of angry people. We ended up just hanging out all day at the mall, so it wasn't a waste. But, very well done.

A lady that works with my mom, her daughter called today crying hysterically asking for her mom. She got on the phone, and was like "Oh my god...you're in jail?! What did you do?!" Her daughter told her that they had been caught skipping and drinking (the girl is *wild* anyways) and the whole time she's crying and her mom's freaking out. At the last second, before her mom hung up to go get her, she revealed it was a joke. That's classic right there!

A friend of mine that went to school today said the school even got in on the fun and stated that our prom was to be held in the school gym instead of the hotel it was originally supposed to be at. The only problem was, the guy who does the announcements is *way* too cheerful....

So, what are your stories?
 
My school told us that our lunch breaks would be extended by half an hour!! I soooo wished that was true! Just an april fools...
 
I helped pull two jokes, one here and one on Tru Calling.net

I also fell for one on my local radio station that announced the UK was getting the Euro, and even had Buffy Summers hunting the Economic news websites to find the story, I got all mad thinking my good exchange rate between dollars and pounds was going to be ruined.
 
I read the April Fools on the Trucalling board...lol...You and Buffy have ben very busy with planning both of them. They were both really great!!

I fell for the one on this board because I completely forgot what day it was yesterday and I missed the memo telling that it was an April Fools joke and you and Buffy were very convincing...lol...

I got my mum in an April Folls but it wasn't very good 🙂
 
Our internal site at work carried an announcement that "left-handed" computer keyboards were now available for staff who needed them. I kind of believed it for a few minutes...Mrs P tells me she would've had one like a shot if they were real (something sinister about that left-handed woman)
 
I remember last year on The Prophecy (a Charmed board) and they said that Buffy was going to come there. And I was like nooo at the time because I had never seen Buffy and I thought it was a waste of space but now I hoped it was true.
 
One of the foums that i am a member of (the wfl forums) closed!! or said that they were gonna. i actually fell for it as well i was like noooo!!! lol 😀 i flet like such an idiot lo 😀
and i totally fell for the Buffy-boards april fools joke as well hehe 😀
 
I fell for the Buffy-boards one. My mom came downstairs yesturday morning and was like did you hear smoking is now illegal in california? and i'm like no. She said she heard nothing on it, but I guess she forgot it was april fools so she fell for it then last night at dinner we got around to the subject and i said something like 'yeah and now its illegal' and then my dad started laughing at me and I had no clue why. Then my mom told me that it was a joke but at the time she didn't know either. I felt stupid lol.

And on TRL yesturday simple plan supposedly broke up and were no more. I didn't really think much of it though, but it was another joke.
