Best Bronze Episodes

This is more of a general Buffy post, but seeing as it came to me while watching Dru and Spike strut their stuff during Devic's song in "Crush", I thought I might as well post it in the season 5 section 🙂 Throughout this show, the Bronze really became an important staple. So many things climaxed, ended, turned, or took off in the realm of Sunnydale's only cool hangout (and maybe I'm a bit jealous that my puny hometown didn't have an equivalent while I was in high school). But it got me thinking- what are the best "Bronze episodes"? Whether it's the actual band playing, the part the venue plays in the episode, whatever-- what are your favorites? As a big Breeders fan, I have a soft spot for "Him" (and can I just say how much more awesome Kim Deal has become in my eyes, knowing she loves this show). "When She Was Bad" is another that comes to mind. Not only because of Cibo Matto ("Cibo Matto can clog dance??") but Buffy's deliciously bitchy performance. And, of course, K's Choice's appearance in "Doppelgangland" is, with good reason, a heavy favorite. What others pop out at you?

When she was bad was the BEST!! I love Xander and Buffy together and that scene was hawt lol 🙂

Another favorite is in Tabula Rasa when Buffy & Spike kiss with Michelle Branch singing "goodbye to you" in the background.

Also the episode Angel when Darla gets dusted 🙂

Ohhh and in Surprise when Oz sees Buffy slay a vampire by accident when they are waiting to surprise her inside the bronze...

"OZ: Yeah. Hey, did everybody see that guy just turn to dust? "

Sooo many good moments.

My favorite is in Sleeper, when Aimee Mann is singing Pavlov's Bell & the song is interrupted by Spike fighting the female vamp he sired. Aimee has the only speaking lines of any musical act in BTVS too, so extra points!! "I hate playing vampire towns"

I know it's a dream sequence, but I love the scene in Restless when Giles is singing onstage.

The end of Tabula Rasa is pretty memorable as well: Michelle Branch singing while Spike & Buffy make out.

I have many Bronze scenes that I love. Here are my top 5 I suppose. (At least off the top of my head)

Buffy and Faith dancing in 'Bad Girls'
Buffy and Spike talking in 'Fool For Love'
The ending of 'Tabula Rasa'
The scene in 'Sleeper'
Faith taking the potenials there in 'Empty Places'

end of Tabula Rasa. 😀 I love that whole sequence with the rest of the Scoobies, and then the shot going back to Buffy and Spike at the Bronze.

I can't recall the episodes...but whenever Spike is drinking at the Bronze and admiring the onions they cut into flowers lol

Also the costume party at the Bronze where Willow's dressed as an eskimo (Inca mummy girl) and when Buffy is hanging out with Willow and Oz while 'casually' watching Parker play pool at the Bronze... such a cute crush-mode moment even if it is Parker.

There's lots more there are a lot of good Bronze scenes. E.g. Faith driving Buffy's body and meet Tara for the first time ("So Willow's not driving stick anymore" or whatever she says) and then running into Spike...

Buffy and Xander dancing in 'When She Was Bad'.... 'Xander did I ever thank you for saving my life?...Don't you wish I would?'. Brilliant stuff!
I also loved Buffy and Faith's dancing in Bad Girls.

I love the Bronze in season 1. I can't put my finger on why, but yeah. I guess cos they're still young teenagers then, it just fits really well. Certain scenes in other seasons really stand out though, like Faith and Buffy's dancing in Bad Girls and Buffy's dance with Xander in When She Was Bad. Both sexy dancing scenes...
