Best BtVS episode [Based on previous poll results]

So this is mostly just some fun, but a friend wants to borrow some of my Buffy dvds, and I'm trying to work out the best episode to lend. So I went through most of the old polls on here and around the net, and have the top 2 episodes voted as the best from every season. I disagree with some.. like season 4 and 5's picks.. and the other season 6 one actually. But anyway, vote for your favourite or best episode out of here.. and consider that this is an episode you might consider introducing the show to someone new.
 
I voted Becoming because it was the ep that got me hooked😀
 
For starting someone on Buffy, of those Hush is the one I would pick. You don't have to have previous knowledge to find it funny and get it. However, when I try to "sire" someone new, I try to show them Tough Love [thats if they're not interested...although it all depends on what this person likes]. While Tough Love isn't famous for it's writing or anything, the ending is such a cliffhanger! I remember showing a group of friends [who were not interested in even trying Buffy] Tough Love, and they were all bored up until Glory finds Tara. They were hooked from that moment. Obviously, you'd need to explain what was going on...but I got a bunch of free Buffy fans out of it ;D Then they just kept wanting more up until The Gift, in which they had to see what happened next with the gang.

i love Hush and as a starter, its good. so is OMWF because its sooo much fun and most people can gather whats going on, there arn't TOO many references to outside plots/archs (and even things like giles leaving and buffy's issues with coming back are all explained in the episode).
 
I had to go with Hush. I just think it's brilliant. Comedic, a little bit of scaryness in some ways and just unique.
 
I picked OMWF -- my favorite out of the WHOLE series. Yep, WHOLE SERIES. I just love it...the singing, the writing, the acting, the Amber Ben--

I have no crush on Amber Benson. I- I said something else...

The first episode I ever watched was Dead Mans Party 😛 Can't say I was too impressed at the time..

When I showed my friend Buffy for the first time, she watched Hush first and was immediately hooked 😛

I think Season 2 is a pretty good season for new buffy fans
 
Thanks guys. Well I showed them Hush along with Fear Itself and The Freshman.. mostly because I love the later 2 and we had time. Think they enjoyed Hush the most (I enjoyed The Freshman the most 😛). Actually it was the first time in years I watched Hush.. and especially without the audio commentary. Was better then I remembered. Willow and Tara are so cute in it too, and the first kiss with Riley and Buffy was great and tragic with their theme music playing.
I was close to showing them Doppelgangland though. Anyway they want to see more, but I don't want to lend anyone my DVDs (never doing that again).. have to hire them out or something. Good idea about Tough Love for the cliffhanger sake TrueVengeance.
 
I picked Hush - it's awesomeness.

And I still can't believe how overrated "Restless" is. *sigh*
 
I picked Angel because of that kiss. I'm a romantic and I remember watching it for the first time, I really was hooked from that moment on. I've introduced a lot of my friends to Buffy with this episode because of the whole love/hate thing. Plus, the lot of us are suckers for a good kiss scene. And of course because Angel is hot.

I can't believe you people think Hush is the best episode when It's the one with the least amount of dialog with barely any amazing lines!! The Body is much better :lmao:

I definitely have to say Once More With Feeling!!!!!!!!🙂🙂 I've memorized all the words to every song!lol, ok lame-o but its my fave!!!!!!!!

I think Hush proved that the show didn't NEED dialogue to be awesome or memorable, and there was lots of humor even with the silence.

Well I voted for Doppelgangland mostly because I love it, and prolly seen it the most. Also it's a good episode to introduce people on. But so is Hush.
But besides that I find it personally hard to pick between Innocence, Becoming, OMWF, The Freshman and Intervention. Hmm.. maybe if I was stuck on an island, I probably wouldn't pick Innocence or Becoming because of the sad endings.. so yeah, that's prolly why I like The Freshman and Intervention so much.
 
I picked Becoming Part 1&2. I love it. It has everything in this episode. They have emotional drama: killing off both Angel and Kendra. They have humor with Spike/Buffy/Joyce. I thought that was hilarious. It also had amazing fight scenes. The Buffy/Angel fight was great to watch. Plus none of the characters were left out. Everyone had an invective role to play in this episode, even Jenny appeared for a bit. The music was also a big plus in this episode!!
