Nothing beats it, one of my favourite moments in the show. Something about Giles' arrival, and seeing despite how terrible things seem right now, you KNOW it's gonna to turn out alright with him back on the scene. 🙂

Also, I think both the subtlety and abruptness of Dawn's first appearance works very well.

And though it was long spoiled for me - Drusilla's sudden arrival to sire Darla in 'The Trial' ranks as both a highly memorable and heart-breaking moment in ATS. It's such a shame Dru was never brought back to the present day storylines to torment Angel and Buffy in both their shows.

Ah, yes, Dru's surprise entrance in that episode really made me happy. (I was a hard core Dru fan for a while".
 
DEFINITELY WITH NO DOUBT...
Giles right at the end of s6's "Two To Go"! It was just an amazingly strong entrance that made you do a double take (and/or cheer 😉 ) and I was so surprised. Timing was perfect, just wow!

'I'd like to test that theory" with the Ripper look and all--- couldn't have been better! :thumbs:

(oh! now I want to make a banner or something on that scene! hmmmm 😀)

i agree. that scene was well played out. the director had us thinking that there was some huge ugly big bad behind the doors; then the doors blew off of their frames and as the dust settled, there was only a hot, sexy vixen standing there.

10/10.
 
Faith's entrance to the show was seriously badass.

And I have to agree 354% with the Wesley entrance in Angel - I was a mix of stunned and delighted with the whole "rogue demon hunter" deal. Awesome.

Spike in Lover's Walk. And yes, I also agree with his Angel entrance, I cried tears of happiness (on the inside) when he un-flamed and appeared.

Andrew coming back in Conversations With Dead People (i so love that character, he stole every scene he was in in S:7), and his very short stint in Angel S:5, he's all the watcher-in-training and ladies man... HAH! He just rocks.

And yes... Giles' testing of that theory was spanktastic.

I think I cried tears of joy on the outside when Spike appeared on Angel!
Faith, Spike, Giles in 'Two To Go' and something no-one has mentioned, Tara. I like the way she was just sat in a room, the shy one who wouldn't speak, then spead it up two seasons she's part of the main cast, I like the way she seemed to slowly come into it. Not exactly a dramatic entrance, but that's why I like it 🙂
 
I would say Glory's entrance, but Clare's horrible, Middle School play-type acting completely ruined it.

Giles in Two To Go wins! And I loved Spike's in School Hard, too.

Yep. Fantastic.
I am kind of partial to Spike in Angel season 1 - I think its called In the Dark or something like that. I cant remember if that is the first time we've seen him in Angel yet, but without a doubt, it is the best thing in that season. The way he mocks Angel? Pure comedic genius right there.... I get tears every time I see it!

Oh the one from above on the roof. And he's pretending to talk for Angel and the girl? :silly: That was hilarious!
 
I know! The parody of Angel was spot on! I honestly would be hard pressed to find a funnier moment in the rest of the series (not including the deleted scene from Waiting in the Wings where Amy and Alexis do a little ballet......)
 
Besides the ones that have already been mentioned, I'll have to go for Angelus' entrance. When Angel first loses his soul and breathes out the smoke after biting that girl with the cigarette.
And Lornes entrance in the first episode of season 2. When you get a close-up of his face (and assume he's evil) before he starts singing.
 
I'm voting School Hard, and Spike's entry. I loved it, and it just emphasised the english bad-boy rocker vibe he gives off. And it still makes me smile every single time I see it.
 
First episode of Angel. The scene starts with him in the bar acting drunk and moaning about a "girl". Then as soon as the vampires leave with the women his facial expression changes, his whole attitude shifts, and then he walks out of the bar like a hunter after his prey. The trenchcoat bellows and it gives off this all "Batman" motiff that still makes me whoop while watching it.

While the return of Giles "testing the theory" can't be beaten... I wonder why nobody yet mentioned the first appearance of The Trio. Heavens, we're talking JONATHAN - who, at least for me, was much more immediately recognizable than Warren - as the (presumed) Big Bad of the Season!!! Sitting with these guys in a basement really not at all unlike the one I used to play RPGs in with a couple of just as geeky guys at school! Laughed myself silly at that!
 
SPIKE--It was great the first time in School Hard, him stepping out all badass, and then soooo funny when they do it again only with Pathetic Drunk Spike! Awesome.

ANGEL (on his show)-- "Cuz . . . the hair . . . heehee, girls are nice . . . " 🙂

WESLEY (on Angel)--I'm a Rogue Demon Hunter! *prat*
