A complete bit of fluff question- who's the best dancer in the Buffy-verse?


It's up to you what denotes 'best'- is it Sexy? Goofy? Funny?

I've restricted it to characters we've actually seen dancing on the shows.


Fine, so I just wanted to post a poll, okay. Sue me. 😛
 
I agree with @Blaze . Plus she beats people up while she's doing it and doesn't miss beat. That's skill. lol. Now Wesley is probably the funniest dancer. Anya also did a lot of good dancing too. And we can't forget Buffy's sexy dance with Xander. lol. But overall I'm going with Faith.
 
That is true. Faith is the only one who can 'multitask' while dancing. 😀

Plus she gets the best soundtrack to dance to ('Chinese Burn' and 'Living Dead Girl' are great songs)

I voted for Faith too. (shocking I know...)

But I'll always have a soft spot for Angel's goofy imaginary dancing, and Willow's drunk dance in 'Something Blue'. 🙂
 
Buffy, just check out her dancing in "School Hard", "Passion" or "The Initiative". No surprise here - she's an ice skater and figure skating is basically dancing, just on ice.
 
Faith. I can watch her dance/fight all day.

Though I was tempted to vote for Angel for the lols.
 
Sweet in Once More with Feeling not only did a great tap and soft shoe routine, he got everyone else to dance involuntarily and, OK, they burned up in the process, but hey, he's a demon, what do you expect?

Honourable (or dishonourable?) mention goes to Dawn in "Him 7ABB06" dancing with RJ to the shock of Buffy and the rest of the scoobies.

Agree with Ethan....it's Sweet for me. He's just amazing!

Buffy, Faith and Dawn may be hot while dancing but it's basically just a gyrating, grinding of the body so it doesn't take much skill really. Angel and Wesley are also awesome but goofy fun more than good... So yeah. Sweet for me. I never tire of watching him.
 
I liked Buffy's "when she was bad" dance a lot. Partly because I liked the Cibo Matto song "Sugar Water" that was playing in that scene.

Faith is the best to watch overall. Angel and Wes are very amusing to watch. Dawn's cute while dancing (watching a youngster trying to dance grown up). Does Willow ever dance? I don't remember other than with Tara, but they seemed more like they were just holding each other. I don't recall seeing her dance solo.

Have we ever actually seen any of them seriously dancing? A few unspectacular steps or a fantasy dance-floor skirmish aren't really indications of actual dancing ability. I do recall Summer Glau having a bit part as a ballerina in an "Angel" episode, so, if that qualifies her in the "other" category, my vote would have to go to her.

I didn't mean dancer as a profession, like a backing dancer or ballerina or whatever.

We've seen all the Scoobies at some point dancing at the Bronze, Wes and Cordy have danced at parties- that's as good an indication as to their 'actual' dancing ability as I need.

The only fantasy one is Angel's, which I put in because it's so goofy and memorable that I'd feel remiss if I left it out.

Those were the ones I was referring to as "unspectacular." But then, I'm more a fan of ballroom dancing, where the couple dance WITH each other rather than AT each other. I just never could get into the modern stuff, which is why I went to so few dances when I was a kid, Old folks with old notions, and all that sort of thing.
 
I'll say Faith is definitely the best, IMO.

I'd also give an honorable mention to Amy Madison also, particularly her one bit from "Wrecked" where she moved so fast she turned into a blur.

Granted that bit could have used better music to go with the magic.
