Best Dressed Apocalypse

Buffy goes to her apocalypses (apocalypsi?) dressed pretty oddly for fighting. But hey, if anyone can save the world in heels, Buffy can. Which was her best dressed apocalypse?

What would you wear to go save the world?

(Pretty silly idea for a thread but once I got it in my head I had to post. 😛)

Is it going to be the pretty but highly impractical white prom dress of season one? Just think of the dry-cleaning bill!

Perhaps she's getting the hang of this apocalypse-wear thing? Sensible black top and camel-coloured trousers with a nice silver cross to ward off that pesky Angelus.

Is it cold in Sunnydale? I'd think fighting in a heavy leather coat would be rather difficult. Although, tell that to Spike...

Neutral colours for the biggest fight of her life... but that long hair's gotta get in her way.
 
I'd have to go with the white dress, it's classic & I thought it would set the standard for Buffy & apocalypses, but turns out not. I like her in season 4 finale fight, though, but I really liked that episode with the Scoobies joining their essences and all that.

And Princess Buffy, you know that I've already complained about her hair in Surprise on another thread, so not a wild guess that I disagree about season 2 hair. 🙂

Shouldn't the thread title technically be "best dressed season finale"? 😛 Because you didn't include the outfits from "The Zeppo" and "Doomed", which also had apocalypses.

My favourite among these is the red leather coat. I still want that coat.

Yeah I was going to include them... but they didn't seem as important as the others.
I love season 2 outfit..She looks beautiful in those pants and shirt, it suit her perfectly but I have a soft spot for the white dress and the outfit she wore when she died 🙁 . The hair I liked it in every picture..! 🙂
 
I love her season 7 outfit - that jacket is gorgeous - too bad about the light color of it however, gonna make those a blood stains a pain to get out 😉 Not to mention the impractical shoes...

And what would I wear to save the world...

I think I'd go for a variation of Buff's season 2 & 6 outfits. Seemes fairly practical. Though I'd wear sneakers rather than heels 🙂 Or maybe my New Rock shoes, they could do some damage...

I love the Season 1 white dress. So pretty, and so very fitting for the occasion.

I agree about the Season 3 outfit. It's California in summer and Buffy is wearing that huge leather coat with her graduation gown over the top. Wouldn't it be a little... Sweaty?

If I was a slayer about to save the world I would totally be going for sneakers and workout gear. Some Chuck Taylors, track pants and a classic adidas striped jacket. Sorted!
 
For the fashion sense, it has to be Chosen one. She looks gorgeous there. The red leather from Graduation is nice too, but it's funny how it's the same color as her gown. 😀

For the practical sense, I think she can fight best in Graduation, Primeval or The Gift outfits(Non-high pointy heels, anyone?). But meh, I always think she's wearing PJ in The Gift.

Overall: Graduation won.
 
She always looked best in s4 to me, i love the crimped hair!
Practical fighting clothes wise, the best would be the s2 clothes. 😛
 
loved the prom dress but I'd have to say the leather coat...just makes you look more intimidating than you actually are lol
 
S1 definitely. Her white dress, while impractical for fighting evil, is just classic.

Although, whenever I think of Buffy's outfit in "Becoming", I always think of her blue coat. Like in the scene where's she's running in slow-mo (I can't remember if it's at the end of Becoming I or not.)

I did, as well! I saw the picture and went, "Oh yeah..."
For me, I have always loved her "Becoming" outfit. The black shirt and trousers look beautiful but are also functional for the fight. But I love Season 4's hair the best. 🙂
 
Season 2 outfit. She looks gorgeous 🙂

What I would wear? Well, I dress like a combination of Spike and Faith, lol. So probably something like that 😉

That's one thing about Season 8 I'm not super excited about...she never dressed that way before. But then again, the world is all different....

Season 7! Buffy looked haaaawt saving the world that time! 😀 As for me, knowing myself, I would probably wear a dress. Being cute but kicking ass, that's how I roll! 😀
 
Whatever she wears she looks good but i'll edge towards what she wore in "Becoming". It was casual but she looked great and it allowed her to have an awesome fight.
 
The first one. I adore that dress, I have since the first time I watched. I don't care if would be impractical. It worked, she saved the world... and she looked gorgeous. Plus, it allowed for "I may be dead, but I'm still pretty... which is more than I can say for you" which is one of my favorite lines from season 1.
