I like all of them (though The Dark Age less than the other three) - but I think A New Man is my favourite. Giles as a Fyarl is hilarious, and I agree that the scene in the crypt with the gloating is great 😀

A New Man is classic...the scene with the two of them getting drunk in the bar and the scene in the crypt...absolute gold.

See Dark Ages is great episode for the introduction of Ripper - somethingI really wish we had explored more.

Band Candy was just so funny, I appreciated seeing more Joyce, Snyder and Giles.

New Man is possibly one of my favourite comedy episodes, I mean when Giles chases Walsh, thats priceless.

BUT

I think my vote has to go with Halloween.
I love the concept of this and I LOVE Cordy's outfit. This also lead to one of the funniest Buffy Jokes by Oz in season 4 when they go to the Party in Fear, Itself when Ox doesn't seem to have a costume so he pulls ack his shirt to reveal 'God'.

I voted Dark Age the last time we had the poll and my opinion has not changed since then; The Dark Age.

A New Man? Really?! Hmmm, interesting. Thats actually one of my least favorite episodes of the whole series... yeah it has its funny moments, but I still find myself kinda wanting to skip it each time I rewatch... same with the Dark Age. Halloween and Band Candy are kind of tie for me, love them both, both are in my top 20ish, don't think I could be decisive enough to order one above the other right now. (For voting sake though, I voted Halloween just to see the standings :silly: )

I voted for the Halloween episode, it's great.
The gang in different costumes was good fun. And setting up the fact that Halloween is a slow night demon wise also makes me laugh.

Very close call though, Band Candy is also great fun.

New Man is also good, just not quite as the episodes above. I like the end.
- You're the only person in the world that can look that annoyed with me. 🙂

They are all good eps, but in the end I voted for Band Candy, it just cracks me up. I love Giles in it "You're my Slayer, go knock his
teeth down his throat!" and when she finally does hit Ethan that little happy jump he does always makes me giggle, and ofcourse you cant go past teen Snyder. Halloween and A New Man follow close behind though.

I went with A New Man but I love all the Ethan eps because I just love his character. A New Man was definately the funniest though mainly the crypt bit and when they're drunk 😀

hmm... I guess the drinking scene in "New Man" wins out for me, but "Halloween" comes a close second for his first reveiling (to us, the viewers) of the Ripper. I love that spooky scene in the costume shop's back room.

I like A New Man too, but the only thing I like about him on this episode is his shirt on Giles.

I was completely torn between Band Candy and Halloween. I voted for Band Candy because of 'Summers, you drive like a spaz!' and Ripper in the factory when he's telling Buffy to hit Ethan. I love it.

I do love Halloween though 🙂

I was basing my vote just on how Ethan, himself, comes across in the episode. If we let the episodes in general into the decision, none on the list can hold a candle to Band Candy. 😀

Well, that was tough decision, but I picked New Man. I watched it recently and my impression with it is freshest of all four.

Ethan's really great character - it's just not enough of him in the series. Leaves you wanting more!
