Best Finales of the Year - Rate em

This was popular last year, so let's try it again with a couple of additions. 1 to 10 what were the best english language season finales of the last year, including British, and cable? Here's mine.

1. Doctor Who (Season 2's) - 9.5
2. Lost - 9.1
3. Dirt - 9
4. Dexter - 8.9
5. Weeds - 8.5
6. Prison Break - 8.4
7. Veronica Mars - 7.9
8. Heroes - 7.9
9. Gilmore Girls - 6.9

Uh... I haven't seen any of those shows. Only show I watch is American Idol and it sucked real bad this year.
 
1. Heroes.

It's the only show I bother keeping up with. Basically because it wins at life.

I thought it was pretty rock. I've heard people saying a lot of mixed things about it, but really, it thought it tied things up nicely. For a new season, anyway. And of course, it's Heroes, for Christ sake.
 
Idk, I'm not into any of those really, bt I did tune in for the Lost finale, cuz my mom was watchin' it, and I thought it was pretty good, and intersting, though not enough to keep me watching lmao...but I liked it, so I pick Lost.
 
Lost without a doubt. I feel Heroes could have been better and I was disappointed with the way VM ended But just watched Lost and WOW!

CSI was good too.
 
Hmm only seen four, so I'll just rate those out of ten but try and remain brief so as not to spoil anyone;

How I Met Your Mother - A nice mixture of what was expected with a few suprises, and some funny moments (eg the family name ideas by Marshall) 8/10

Scrubs - Not that funny but with some good drama and a nice setup for next year. 7/10

Desperate Housewives - Again, predictablity but was nice to see Bree back. Lets hope they follow through with the end and don't cop out at the start of next year. 8/10

Veronica Mars - (counting the last two as the finale). I loved the ending and some said as a series finale it doesn't work (but then it wasn't made as one) but I think its dreary unfocused end is fitting for the show. 9/10
 
Only seen Heroes and Greys Anatomy so far!

Heroes was excellent, nicely set up for next season. But I did think it was a little anti-climactic! 8/10

Greys anatomy was bloody animal!! So frickin good, I can't believe how much everything just changed for next season!! 9/10
 
Lost...it was just so god damn good. Annoying that we gotta wait till febrauary till next season though! I saw the BIG twist coming though (although it was one of the MANY theories I had in my head about where they were gonna go with the series)

lol, i hate how season 3 of greys anatomy is just starting here in the uk (tonight, 10pm, living tv 😛) and its already aired in the us...
 
1. Supernatural - I thought this also had an AWESOME finale with some unexpected twists, and set-up next season well.
2. Heroes - I like this show better than Supernatural, but I thought Supernatural's finale was better.
 
I wasnt that thrilled about Supernaturals ending. Especially not after last seasons ending. It seemed to easy after all theyve been through.
 
1. Battlestar Gallactica or Lost (I didn't like this series at first, but now it rocks - as for BG, I don't remember anymore whether I enjoyed it more or less than Lost finale, but it was good for sure)
3. Smallville
4. Supernatural (decent story, but nothing special or particularly surprising)
5. 24 (same as above)
6. Heroes (Sylar-Peter showdown was anti-climatic and the whole finale just sort of fizzled out for me even though the series overall is my favorite)

Also, still waiting for the One Tree Hill finale. And I think Blood Ties ended for the moment with an episode called Norman, which was probably the best episode in that series so far, but the show itself hasn't been that great... for me at least...
 
1. Lost - Just saw it and wow. I haven't watch Lost too much the last few weeks, but caught up today and saw the finale. Great one.
2. BSG - Feels like ages ago that I saw this one, but I know I loved it..
3. Veronica Mars - Slightly disappointed only 'cause it's supposed to be the series finale, great episodes though, will miss this show insanely much.
4. Weeds - Long time ago too, great last ep though.
5. Bones - Gotta love Bones, great show, good season ending..
6. Ugly Betty - Aw sweet show..
7. Heroes - Also good ending! Not great, but neither is the show imo, definitely worth watching though.
8. The OC - Also series finale, heh. Insane season, funny though and yeah, the finale worked, definitely.
9. Gilmore Girls - Series finale. Hmm it worked.
10. HIMYM - Funny like any other episode. Ended interesting though.
11. Grey's Anatomy - Was okay. Kinda strange though.
12. L Word - This whole season was very blah. Some episodes were good and some sucked, so it's hard to say anything about the finale, really... confusing.

Yayyy, Bones karma! I loved the season ender, too.....
Prison Break 9.5 now we get to see just how smart he really is.
Bones 9 liked that it was a fun episode instead of a cliffhanger
Greys Anatomy 9 wow which way is this show going to go and now the step sister is in the mix
Heroes 9 I liked the ending and the cliff hanger. Hiro in the middle of a samurai war in 1671 during an eclipse?
Lost 8.5 which way is this show going now? Flash forwards while they are still on the island or Flash backs of the island now that they are off?
Supernatural 8 next year can either be real creative or real bad it will all depend on how they are going to play Sam's new powers and Deans one year deal with the demon.
24 starts in January 2008. This year was fodder.

Bones karma for all!
HEROES. SIMPLY. ROCKED.

It felt so...connected when all of the "heroes" showed up to watch the showdown. And then Niki comes up and fricking whaps him with the parking meter. She's my favorite character now. Anyway, I really really thought it was a great ending and can't wait til September! (Or whenever it starts...)
 
what's sad is i haven't even watched that much television.
but the shows, that i have kind of been watching in my free time:

+ ugly betty
+ heroes
+ greys anatomy
+ gilmore girls

and yeah i thought they were good.
 
Lost: (20/10) I *loved* it. Thrilling, sad, funny, dramatic, SHOCKING.

Supernatural: (6.5/10) My second favorite show this season gave a pretty weak finale. It was good but not finale good.

Ugly Betty (7.8/10) Not as funny as it could have been, lots of typical soap opera cliffhangers, and about 10 of them. It was still VERY good though and I'm looking forward to season two.

Heroes (6/10): Kinda boring. And in the five worst episodes of the show so far. I just didn't dig it.

Desperate Housewives: (7.1/10) It didn't feel like a finale. At all. It was like a normal episode and we'll just have a three-month hiatus. *sigh*

The Office (9/10) HILARIOUS. I had to watch it twice. It was the best finale of The Office so far.

Veronica Mars: I haven't watched it yet, simply because I'm afraid to. I want to save them for a special occasion. Because after I watch them, no more Veronica Mars. Forever. 🙁

I also have yet to see Brothers & Sisters, Grey's, among a few others.
 
I didn't watch many, but I have to say I was pretty dissapointed with the ones I did see 🙁

ER was okay, but wasn't great. For anyone who follows the show I really wish they'd ended it at
Abbey and Luca's wedding, but it almost felt like they dragged it out when they should have left well enough alone, you know?

Crossing Jordan don't even get me STARTED on! lol
the plane crash thing was so cliche, and then just out of the blue they're saved! yay! arrg just total crap, which really dissapointed me given how much I liked the season up until that point. Was just too done-before for my tastes anyway (although I liked a few of the scenes, I'll admit). Again, felt dragged out and thrown together, more than anything

Sadly, after seeing them, I didn't watch anymore finales lol... the shows leading up to them were good though! 🙂

2. Lost - 7- I didn't watch anything other than the last ep/
3. Dirt - 0- didnt watch it
4. Dexter - 0- never seen it
5. Weeds - 0- never seen it either
6. Prison Break - 0- didn't see it
7. Veronica Mars - 2- IT ****ING BLEW
8. Heroes - 6ish
9. Gilmore Girls - 5- it was horrible too
10. Grey's Anatomy - 8
