River was a good character, really random and funny, and different from what i expected after i saw Serenity(movie) first.
Her scenes with Book are hilarious, the ones where she snatches his bible pages from him and when she messes the bed he just made. And when she wont come out because of Books hair lol 🙂 funny stuff

She was really funny! My favorite scene with her is definitely when she had that food ball on a string and was trying to eat it but couldn't and then she said, "My food is problematic!"

I think Adam Baldwin (and his shoulders) is the nicest thing to look at in the world 😀
 
I was torn between Mal, Jayne, Simon and River. Jayne is funny. Simon developed a lot and he can everything to project the ones he loves. River is sweet and kickass. But I voted Mal because he has it all. Funny, protective and kickass. 😀
 
This is a tough one, but I ended up voting for Mal. I just love him. Nathan can do no bad in my book.

A close second would be River. I agree that there was a lot of potential there.

Firefly had such great characters. All of them were so unique and well-developed.

For the amount of episodes it got, I think Firefly had the best character work of any of Joss' series.
Mal,Kaylee and River are my favourite three<3

Mal-funny&great. Nathon is truly brill.
Kaylee-cute as a button&so loveable.
River- kickass&interesting girl.
 
Mal pretty much has my heart when it comes to Firefly. I'm such a sucker for scarred, cynical anti-heroes. After that it's definitely Jayne--just love his character and the way he shows humanity at the strangest moments. River after that, then Wash, then Zoe, Kaylee and Simon. Inara is the only one I could really do without.

Agreed. I love Mal/Inara as a 'ship, but not her character individually.
The characters of Firefly were ALL awesome and what the heck was Fox thinking!? Sigh. I voted for Mal. I love them all, but he's my favorite. he's got that kind of...moral complexity I enjoy watching so much.
 
I love all the characters on Firefly, but Mal most of all. Hilarious, cynical, and heroic.

Honourable mentions go to River and Kaylee. Kaylee's just so adorable and sweet.
 
Whereas I do love all of the characters on Firefly, Kaylee got my vote. With Wash coming in a close second. I just love both of them, it was a hard choice. Kaylee is just plain awesome and I find Wash to be really funny - Plus, I love Alan Tudyk.
 
Walsh would have to be my number one. 😀 He is super funny and I love his red hair. Second would be Jayne...he is like a big dumb mann makes me laugh. Then probably River..she is always interesting. My favorite part is when she rewrites the bible.
 
River is my favourite. With Mal and Jayne switching between 2nd and 3rd place all the time.
I really like all the others but Zoe is probably my least favourite. or Inara. or Book.
 
This is hard, I love pretty much all of them!

I'll go for Kaylee in the end though (no surprise, looking at my sig, right?), but with Book and Wash coming in a pretty close second.
 
It's sooo hard for me to pick, but i picked Wash. He's pretty hilarious, but he's sincere and a great friend to Mal and a great husband to Zoe.
 
Tough choice between Mal + Book imo. Both had great backstories.

I'll vote for Mal though.

Not that I don't love the others (Mal & Kaylee in particular).

I always found Book interesting but I don't think we ever got enough of his story to make him one of my favourites.
