Best Firefly Character

Jayne & Simon are both my favourite characters but I decided to vote for Simon simply because he has a lot less votes that Jayne, but I do love them both equally 😛.

My least favourite is Inara. I just can't see her as anyone but the Girl With The Crazy Eyes from the How I Met Your Mother episode 'Swarley', and I really disliked her on there, lol.

Simon is so boring to me most of the time... I love him in the scenes where he's letting loose a little with Kaylee and you can actually see him smile, but other than that I'm like "eh".
 
Mine is Inara, but I went with Zoe, because she rocks! My other choice is Mal because I watch the show mostly because I love Nathan Fillion and it does have interesting plots.
 
As you may have guessed from the sig & the av, I'm a huge Mal Reynolds fan. I personally think he's the best character Joss has ever created. Mal didn't fight in the war (imo) because of slavery or mining rights or border disputes. He fought because he believes that people have the right to be free, that people shouldn't be made to think or act a certain way. That's something I can relate to. He's complicated, funny, charming, ruthless & there's a hole in him from losing his faith that day in Serenity Valley that I think only Inara can fill. Basically I think Mal rocks & that Fillion absolutely nailed exactly what Joss was going for when he wrote the character.

it's close to impossible to choose but I suppose I like Mal just a shade more than the others.
 
I don't dislike any of the characters actually ...

My top 3 are Mal, Kaylee, and Jayne, so I'm a bit torn. That said, I'll go with Kaylee. She's adorable. 🙂

I had to double check to make sure but according to IMDB Julia Lee did not guest star on Firefly.
Either she wasn't credited or people are confused 🙂
 
When I first watched the show, I fell in love with Jayne. Now I have to say my favorite character is Wash. 🙂 After watching "War Stories" a couple times, I just think Alan plays the part so awesomely.
 
I think i voted Mal before, but after my rewatch i've fell in love with Kaylee even more♥
It's so hard to even choose a fav!
 
I can't believe Zoe got zero votes!!!! She's my friend's favorite character. I personally think Mal is the most interesting.
 
I like Mal the best. The way he's so protective of his crew and the way he loves his ship is amazing. He's funny and charming and dark all at the same time.
 
I have to vote for Kaylee. She is incrediblysweet and adorable and so incredibly good at her job. I also really like, Mal, Shepherd Book, Wash, Z....actually I could make a case for anyone except Simon or Jayne. 🙂
