If you could choose one Buffy character, who would you get on with the most? Who's got the most appealing qualities that you'd want in a friend?

For me, and I know he has his fair share of haters, but I think Xander would be an EXCELLENT best friend.

I think Buffy would always have a bit of a superiority complex, and Spike, god love him, wouldn't have your back unless there was something in it for him.
 
Definitely Xander. My best guy friend in high school was almost just like Xander, and I think that was why I was initially drawn to the character. To this day, there is no friend I've ever had in my life that I felt more "myself" with than Kyle, and he had the same sarcastic sense of humor and humongous heart that Xander has.
 
If this was at the beginning of 'Buffy', I would say Xander or Willow, hands down. Same with Buffy. Today I don't know. I know this gonna sound weird, but if Cordy was still alive, she might be the one. Not Cordy from the beginning, not the bitchy Cordy. But from where she started being really loyal and cute and fun to be with. And she is loyal (you know, till she became evil, but that wasn't her fault)!

For me? Angel or Cordy.

I'm very like Angel but I'm more outgoing (wouldn't really be hard, truth be told) but I share a lot of what he values and holds true. I'd mother the Hell out of him lol Mostly, he values and appreciates loyalty as much as I do, especially when he feels he doesn't deserve it. Hint: that's always.

As for Cordy, she strikes me as having that same loyalty (on ATS anyway) with added snark. I love me some snark 😉
 
Either Xander or Anya. My best friend is nerdy like him and they're quite sarcastic so we'd all be able to get on quite well and joke around.
 
Spike, definitely. We're really alike, I could always relate to him, especially when he was on Angel. Plus, he's a big soft poet at heart, that's what I love most about the chap. Huuuuge romantic too. 😛

I love how beautiful he was with his soul in season 7, I think I'd find myself having a fairly deep conversation with him.

Other than that, Anya. Sarcasm, hell yes.
 
The Master. I can just see us hitting on the hotties in the pub together, before sharing tales of our youths over a brew.

I thought out of everybody, Faith would be the worst friend, but you made some good points that made me rethink that
I think it'd be Buffy, because in season 6 and 7, she really needs a friend :heart:
Otherwise, I would totally be best mate with Nerdy Wesley because I'd never get bored with him and I'd be his wing girl with the ladies! :heart:
Or maybe Tara, because I get along with shy people and generally help them open up, and some of my favourite friends were shy as heck when I met them, but when you have enough patience, they just become real diamonds :heart:
Or Cordy, for the reasons Chosen Enemy mentioned.
Or Spike, because let's face it, the guy seriously needs friends.
 
I've had friends like Faith and though they can be fun to be with things can get waay out of hand around people like that 😉

I'd have to say Angel or Connor. I'd get on well with those types. Xander is funny but not good enough to mind his own business for my taste 🙂
