Nothing beats Amends for me. I love the Buffy/Angel scenes. Plus I love Faith & Joyce enjoying Christmas night together as well as Willow/Oz. It makes me all warm inside.
 
I love Amends! I am surprised it's not more popular! Haaa think out of those selected my favourite is Amends! I love those scenes between angel and buffy, love the introduction of the First and how it teases and PReys on Angel! I also love Jenny Calendar being Evil! I love how the whole episode uses the main theme 'Amends' in different ways, commenting on all the relationships in the episode! To me 'Amends' is a highlight in the first half of season3.

Another vote for Halloween. Basically whenever I need a quick buffy fix I'll put on Halloween, and subsequently its the episode I've seen the most times. It holds a special place in my heart because it was the first episode for me where the show went from being cool to awesome. 😎

We see another side to Giles, the roles get reversed and Xander becomes a Badass. Its also funny and light hearted so it requires little emotional investment and it plays into that fantasy wish fulfillment like if you were there and could turn into your costume.
 
Halloween or Amends... in the end I went with Halloween because it's my favorite holiday and well it's just epic in terms of old school Buffy humor and charm 🙂 (+solider Xander is totally hot)

Hi! I think its good we have a difference of opinion here - makes for a good discussion. Ive re-read your past posts on the episode here - that you dont like there is not enough action. That doesnt make it boring though for me. Its nice to have an episode thats quite different in that regard - I like how it all plays out. Its nice to get a sense of how the First manipulates Angel's mind. The episode itself also has a great build up.

I like how it informs and adds to our appreciation of Angel. Angel's desire to cleanse his past is the very core of the character - it is his key motivation.

And dont you just love Jenny Calendar being EVIL? I think she does it so well!! haaa

And i think its interesting to compare the First here with its manifestation in season 7. I havent watched season 7 since it originally aired, and im currently on season 3 of my rewatch - so I might have forgotten key details. In "Amends" it can touch angel and get into one's dream state. Am i right in remembering that it cant do either in Season 7? I think this whole bringing people into other's dreams and actually watching someone's memories is great and could have added an extra dimension to season 7 - Buffy could have seen Spike as William - think of the possibilities!!!

Ooops - this is soo long- Ive just recently rewatched the episode so its fresh in my mind. Just wanted to let you know why i didnt think it was boring haaa

its nice to hear other people's opinions though! I take it you arn't an Angel fan, Chosen Enemy?

Agreed. About the other opinions, not the boring part.
It's not like I love anything action or only things with action. But this episode was all about Angel whining and Buffy worrying. Oh, and snow. I felt this episode lacked something, it wasn't interesting for me to watch. The interesting part is, even when I was a Bangel/Angel lover back in the old days, I still thought it was boring. I guess if it was a Spuffy episode, I still would have thought it was boring, but maybe I'd like it more. I think that if they went for a different plot with the same idea, it would have been better, it would have worked, maybe.

That's me explaining my POV 😀
