Best or Worst Season?

I don't think season 2 is the WORST season, but it's definitely not one of my favorites. Episodes generally sucked, but I loved Angelus as the big bad and how Spike was still evil. And of course, Drusilla is classic. I miss her. I think season 1 was the lamest...maybe because it was so short.

Personally I think it's one of the best, only thing that holds it back for me is it still has some left over cheesiness from Season 1 and I prefer the group of the later seasons.
 
I liked it because the group was still relatively innocent. Willow wasn't getting in too deep with magic. Xander was still close to the girls. Giles wasn't questioning how much they needed him. Buffy wasn't wondering if she was losing the ability to love. And best of all - Oz was there!!!! (well, okay, second best)
 
Season 2 is my favourite. I think it is the best season of television EVER!! I just love it.
The character development was great and the demons/ big bads excellent.
Buffy was still all bubbly and happy.
ANGELUS hello!! lol.
Spike and Drusilla, I absolutely love drusilla, she is what I vision a real vampire would be like.
The Jenny and Giles relationship, He never falls for anyone else which is sad. Passion is my favourite epsiode of all, it was very well done. I cry so much when Jenny dies, mainly because Giles never finds love properly again.
Moving on, Xander and Cordy's relationship is so funny, I love it.
The introduction of Oz, Spike, Drusilla and Kendra (although her stay is short lived.)
Giles dark past is revealed a little, I think they could have expanded this more in other seasons.
The Buffy and Angel relationship (other than Anya and Xander this is my favourite Buffyverse romance)
Spike is bad which is how I prefer him. I know alot of people like the spike and buffy romance but I don't at all. I like him evil or like he is in season 4, really trying to be evil. Although I love him in season 5 of Angel.
Angels past flash backs, they first appear this season.

I can't quiet put my finger on it but properly, I just absolutely love this season! Everyone has different tastes and opinions and this is mine lol.
Personally I think season 6 is the worst season, as it is too dark and depressing for me all the way through. Other fans however love this, especially the real big Spike fans. Bad Willow is ace though and there are some great episodes. I'm not a musical fan so Once more with feeling is actually one of my least favourite Buffy episodes.
 
I love all the seasons. I could pick a worst season if I had to but even the worst season is better than anything else ever shown on television... 😀
 
After seeing all the seasons many times and great anlysis I conclude the best seasons are (which are also my favorites) a tie between 2, 3, and 5. My second favorite seasons are 4 and 6 which are fantastic also but lack the greatness of the other ones. And, the worst seasons (which are still better than almost anything else on television) are seasons 1 and 7; I think the reason why should be pretty obvious.
 
I loved season 2! Spike and Dru came and then the whole story about Angelus. It was fantastic! And I loved the character.

It's not my favorite season because for me it doesn't come near season 5 and 6 but I still love watching it. The only season I don't really like is season 1 but I don't hate it, either.
 
I think it's neither the best nor the worst season. I I only can say that I like the three last seasons the best, but that doesn't mean I don't like the other four. They are totally different and ever season has it's good and it's parts. But in season two I like how Angel turns evel and all the Spike and druisilla parts =)
 
Personally season 2 was one of the best, i mean that season gave us one of the best intros to one of the best characters SPIKE!!!

And even better, season 2 also gave us our first taste of ANGELUS who has to be one of the best 'big-bads' ever!!!

Plus this season held most of the distinctive moments for making Buffy who she is.... Loses her virginity, Realises she and angel could never be, Gets introduced to Angelus and she kills angel

Season 4 (in my view) is the worst one, the whole goverment undergound tjing was pointless to me, only good thing off the top of my head is Spikes chip, i thought Riley was pretty pointless aswell only good bit with him was when Angel kicked his ass.... Even though season 4 gave us 'hush' (which was ment to be in season 6 instead)

But season 2 was not one of the worst! X
 
Season 2 is definitely not the worst season. In fact, it's one of the strongest. The honor of weakest season would have to bestowed upon any of these three

I really do not understand what people see in 6. I don't. It was an awful season. I rarely rewatch it. The ending was also unappealing. The way Xander was able to diffuse Willow's power was really underdone. I will admit that Willow being the Big Bad is awesome, but the way it was handled was just weak. I was expecting a big battle, but alas, it left me underwhelmed.

Seems we have really different tastes then. 🙂

For me, 5 rates as mediocre in the truest sense. 2 is the best, 3 & 6 are great, 4 & 5 good-but-not-great, 1 & 7 are so-so (but still the so-so's are very watchable, of course. It's Whedon after all ^^).
 
Definately not the worst (*cough* season 4 *cough*) but in my opinion not the best either. My fav season was Season 6 and I definately find myself in the minority on that one but I love the progressions and charecter transformations. Season 2 and Season 5 are a toss-up for number 2 for me. They both have really really strong eps like The Body, Innocence, Surprise, Passion, Becoming Pt1 and 2, the Gift, Family. But then they also have some really bad eps as well. Can't think of them off the top of my head except bad eggs and whatever the one with the queller demon. Season 2 has Angel, Season 5 has Spike. Season 2 has no Dawn, Season 5 has Dawn.........hmmmmmm, that could sway me to put season 2 above season 5.

No way, season one is great! I wish there were more of season one-only 12 🙁 The first season is what made me fall in love with the show. So unique.) No i found that the show weakened a little by S5. S4 was good but it had some duff themes like Adam and the initative. It wasnt as consistant. S7 started well then it got all nerdy with the Potentials. S5 was a soap opera basically.

I'm really shocked that so many people here like Season 6. I think it's just not as good especially when we had the behemoth that was season 5.
 
I have to say that it was good, but not the best season 3 has that honor in my mind, and certainly not the worst, I leave that to season 4.
 
I didn't look season 7 yet (and half of 6.)

Before I was thinking that 2. season was my favourite, but then I saw season 5 🙂 Season 5 is my winner! 🙂

I love season 2. because of Angelus, and episode Becoming was brilliant.
