Best Season 5 Episode?

Ah yes, the year of bored hell-gods and crazy robots with nerd fetishes. This was one of my favorite seasons with a bunch of really hot episodes. If I had to choose, though, I'd have to make The Gift as my favorite. It was the perfect end to a perfect show ... or did it? Even though we all knew she was coming back, I think it gave the show a good ending ... you know, if they were to have left it like that.

There's really no doubt at all for me: The Body. It's one of my absolute favorite episode. Both in a "favorite"-way and in an "omg it's the-friggin best TV show ep ever"-way... Really, everything about it, gah, beautiful and depressing, just the way I like it.

The Gift is a great episode as well though, definitely.

The Gift

Apart from The Body, this episode was my fav.

I loved Buffy's speech at the end and the closing picture of the whole gang was quite moving, I know this will sound weird but Buffy looked quite graceful (I can't think of the word) lying there like it was out of some tragic play.

Giles killing Ben, when I saw him doing it I was like woah, is that Giles or Ripper.

Willow restoring Tara was a sweet moment where she said "I got so lost" and Will replyed "I will always find you" bought a lil tear to my eye.

The Body! It's just so well done, it has it all and, it's brutal, sad, beautiful.. I think it's a very good portrait of all the characters and how they deal. My favourite episode ever!!

My favourite episode of all in this series was The Gift also, which I voted for. I also loved The Body, but have only ever seen it once! It was really weird, it was only shown uncut once in the U.K, then after that when the Season 5 episodes were repeated, it would only show the episodes preceding and after them. Sorry, I can't remember the titles of all the episodes, hehe, I'll get the hang of this eventually, I hope!

I also loved The "Buffy vs Dracula" Episode. That was great to watch, so funny! The ultimate slayer v the ultimate vamp! 🙂

The whole season was great, of course. But I think the beginning was better than the end. I'm just not a huge fan of the depressing turn that Buffy took during the fifth season and continued through the rest of the show. But I couldn't imagine it any other way! I really liked Buffy vs. Dracula though. It was a fun way to introduce the new season.

Tough love was my favourite bcoz of the spike/dawn bonding aww! and also because willow kicks glorys ass (well....kinda) and she REALLY desearves it ! poor Tara....oh well she gets fixed in the end WAHEY!!

For me some of the best writing on this show always seems to be in the funny epi. So for me it was a big toss up between Triangle, Replacement and Buffy vs. Dracula. But in the end I voted for triangle because I felt everyone got very funny lines and I'm a big fan of Willow/Anya comedy.

Ah yes season 5 one of my fave seasons!

For me ive got two fave eppys in perticular first one is "The body" I mean what I sad eppy! Joyce our beloved Joyce gone out of BTVS as shes been in them for 5 seasons!

My second one you probably guess was the season finale, "The Gift" It was a brill finale and Buffy died (again) but this time there was no going back, I really thought with this eppy it would be the last eppy of BTVS! But of course not =D there were 2 more lol!

I'd have to agree with most of you- The Gift was amazing and the absolute perfect end- I had the sixth season with me for after I finished this one so I knew what was going to happen, but it still shocked me that she just.... I cryed sooooo much..... It was amazing. :rolleyes0

I really couldn't choose I enjoyed all the episodes in this season it was really good. "The Gift" being at the top of my list I also liked "Crush" and "Intervention" Spike's big monologue about woman in "Crush" makes me laugh everytime I watch it.

I'd have to say that "The Gift" was my favourite episode in season 5. Everything about it was non-stop, just the drama, the tears, the emotion...everything about this episode I loved! I truly thought that this was the final episode of Buffy - forever, and I think that this would've been a perfect ending to the series...but then Joss ended the series perfectly anyway...so anyhoo, "The gift" is my fav ep!

As much as I loved Buffy vs. Dracula, I had to go with the gift. It tied up the whole season really well and was amazingly written, I loved it! 🙂

The Gift hands down.It's one of the best Buffy episodes.It's also the first time I got all teary eyed watching TV.
