Best Season Ever!

I love season 1. But that's for my own quirky reasons. I just went over the season episode lists. Show for Show I have a hard time picking between 4 and 5. I know nobody likes Riley but really that season is very under rated. And I'm a bigger fan of the High School years but like I said show for show 1- 3 lag behind because of a few average stand alone episodes. I think the writers pretty much told us what they thought of season 6 in this three episode trifecta
Smashed
Wrecked
and Gone.
I'm still working on watching s7 again. Except for the last few shows of s7 I
haven't seen them since they aired. So it's hard to judge. But so much of the core is gone or changed it's hard to want to watch. Plus Dawns there and not a key. Just a bratty teenager! Who needs that!
 
I love season 2! You've got Spike as a badass vampire, Drusilla as a wackadoodle, and Angelus! It was just a great season for villains! David Boreanaz plays the whole Angel to Angelus switch soo well! Plus it really did show everyone forming their own opinions about vampires. Xander is probably the only one who was steadfast in his "vamps are evil" point of view since the beginning.
 
I've always been torn between seasons 2 and 3 as best. 2 has the better season story, some of the best episodes of the entire series (Innocence / Passion / Becoming) and the best villain (Angel). Season 3 on the other hand is not far behind on any of those things, but has far better stand alone episodes (Band Candy / The Wish / Doppelgangland vs Go Fish / Ted / Some Assembly Required).
 
After watching all the seasons, this one was the best for me. I loveeeed Xander and Cordelia as a couple. Willow and Oz were great too. And Spiiike! Only Dru was annoying for me, but I could stand her.
And season's finale was epic. Yeah, S02 can be named as the best.
 
I think this is my second favourite season after season three. I'm not a huge fan of some of the earlier episodes, though ironically while everybody else seems to hate Ted, it is one of my favourites.
 
Season 2 is tied with season 6 for my favorite. It was the only season where Spike, Angel and Buffy were all together, I don't need to explain anymore 😀. Drusilla is epic, and Angelus is IMO the best Big Bad on the show.

I loved the simplicity of season 2, and it had some great stand alone episodes...and who doesn't love "Becoming"??
 
Looooved season 2. Bewildered, Bothered, and Bewitched is on right now, and man o' man.... one of my favorite episodes.... Damn I miss this show.....
