Best Season of Angel?

Okay, this poll will be for the best season of Angel. This was another hard one for me, as it came down to either season 3 or season 5. I think I will go with season 5. Why?
It was the last season.
Spike made an excellent addition to the world of Angel.
No annoying teenage Connor. (Well, very little of him, anyway.)
The return of the REAL Cordelia. (If only for one episode.)
Wes and Fred as a couple. (Finally!)
Great episodes like: Smile Time, A Hole in the World, Shells, The Girl in Question, and Not Fade Away.
A perfect ending for the series.
Great moments like: Wes and Fred's kiss in ST; puppet Angel; The death of Fred (in Wesley's arms); the birth of Illyria; the death of Wesley in Fred/Illyria's arms; The many Spike/Angel fights; the last scene of the series (with the exception of that cheesy last line.)

[Croft Storm]

Season 1: I love the atmospehre, hard to say why in words. But on the whole, too many standalones and not enough cliffhanger endings for me. There's also not enough characters to attach too, the only one I really liked at all back here was Doyle (Wes became one of my faves later on, but not yet). The police element doesn't interest me at all. But still, a few good episodes like the Faith ones make it as watchable as any season. 7/10

Season 2: It got good quickly, the Darla plot was gripping. But then it faded away a bit, and although I like the Pylea eps, I prefer something more epic. 8/10

Season 3: Pretty good all round really. A nice standalone/arc balance, and most of the standalones were good. The Holtz plot was enjoyable, I didn't enjoy the season quite so much when Connor came into it so like season 2 I feel that this season dipped a bit at the end, but the final cliffhanger made up for it. 9/10

Season 4: On paper it sounds like my ideal Angel season with very few standalones and a tight arc. But there's too much I dislike about it. The obvious holes, the weak Angelus return, Cordy's evilness. Still some great elements though, The Beast and Faith to name two. 7/10

Season 5: Just incredible. Other than a few duff standalone epidisodes, it's got more stuning moments than any other season. Destiny, Hole in the World, Shells, Not Fade Away, Smile Time, You're Welcome; this season dominates nearly all of my top 10 fave Buffyverse episodes. So this one most definitely gets my vote, 10/10.

Season 5 without the slightest doubt. All the other AtS seasons together can't compete with season 5.

For the Doyle factor, it will always be the season 1 for me.

I chose season two it was really good to see Angel struggle with his dark side and get over his obsession with Darla.
I loved the bit where he shut sem all in the wine celler pure class!i never felt so on edge watching Angel as this season! so that's why i chose it!

Although i do love season one i missed his run-ins with Kate and Doyle!
I never liked season three much i couldn't watch Conner get used as a porn in Holtz's sick little game it made me cry! I very much wanted Conner to get better not worse! And Cordy leaving, Nooo! i wanted her to act on her vision of Angel in Danger not rebuke him and then go!
and she missed something when she went back into her vision i think that was for a reason to show her what was going on with Conner! I picked it up straight away! lol
Season Four well i hated Evil Cordy nuff said but the beast arc was good but spoiled by Jasmine.
Five-(second choice)Loved your welcome, but i do think Cordy shoulda been more empathic to Angel! but loved the theme -the best bits Fred and Wes

Without a doubt series one, especially the first half because it had doyle and everything was new and exciting and you didn't know which way anything was going to go and we had all these new interesting ideas introduced like an evil law firm, the oracles, powers that be etc.

I loved season five. It's the only season that I've rewatched a lot episodes from. I think I only watched 1-4 just because... it was a spin-off. But season five was awesome!

Hard to choose. As overall seasons, I'd say 2 and 5. I like season 1 a lot though.

My favorite was season 5, but I accidentily checked off season 4. This was the only season where I didn't get bored with an episode throughout all 22. And most of my favorite episodes of all time were here, too. So yeah.

Season Four. Season One was really....not that great in comparison to the other seasons, but I did love it.

But season four was just really awesome. I loved how dark it was, the serial storylines, Jasmine, The Beast, Evil Cordy...I don't see how people don't like it.
