Best Singer?

Another vote for Giles and his acoustic Rock God-ness!

He also has the best taste in music so it fits. He should get a band together!

Also, I believe that he's the only one who's realised an album? That's also an indicator to me. 🙂

It was between Giles and Lindsey, really I think that they're about equal but I picked Lindsey because I could only pick one and between the two actors Christian Kane was the one I listened to last so he was fresh on my mind.

Christian and James both have good voices, and Christian can also play the guitar (as can ASH). I wonder if JM can play any instruments?

I picked Giles. Although I was really surprised and impressed with Amber Benson's singing. I had no idea she could sing.

I voted for Lorne though.. Always liked his character. Then again, Angel 'Oh Mandy'. 😀 I remember watching an Angel/Darla fan video set to the song 'Mandy', like, 10 years ago. 😀At the time I thought it was the most brilliant thing ever.

Actually don't think Anthony Head's voice is that good I find it a little too winny. But it does depend on the song I guess for the more rocking numbers he is fine. Just like Marster's raw, grainy voice was perfect for his number.

It is Tara by a country mile for me. AB's delivery in Under Your Spell is just mind blowing. The whole song has me fighting back the tears everytime😛

Really disagree with this. His rendition of 'Behind Blue Eyes' is great, plus in 'Restless' he actually sings the plot. Sings the plot. It's so well done and utterly hilarious. Giles for me everytime.

And I always though Sarah, who was a non-singer and had to take some lessons, handles her three songs quite well.

Also, off topic slightly but Eliza sang on Dollhouse and she was pretty darn good. Wish we'd gotten to hear Faith sing- maybe at Karitas or something. (Almost everybody sang at Karitas at one point- Harmony, Lindsey, Fred)
I can just see Faith (probably drunkenly) belting out something by Joan Jett and The Blackhearts. 😀

I just think it depends on the style of his song. The song he does about Buffy in OMWF (forget the title now) to me is one of the weaker of the episode. But, I agree that elsewhere he does a good job. Don't forget that when he first starts singing on the show it is meant to be funny, and is only in short busts.

Yeah I would say that Sarah is one of the best, and her solo effects are some of the best songs too.

Good call on Faith think she would give KS a run for her money😉

I agree SMG did a good job with the few lessons she took, maybe she wasn't as bad as she thought she was before. I always thought that if the spell didn't just affect Sunnydale we could have had Faith singing in prison. lol. Caritas was gone by the time she came back on Angel in s4, which is sad, Eliza has a decent enough voice.

This was surprisingly hard for me, especially because the "best singer" isn't always whose singing I actually like the best (I hope that makes sense when you read it). On a side note: Has anyone else here heard Andy Hallett's version of "It's not Easy Being Green"? ...makes my heart break now.

He played the music for his solo in OMWF. And one of my kids who absolutely hates Buffy actually likes his music - the group is Ghost of the Robot. I've never really listened.

Well, Buffy or not, ASH is a great singer 🙂

Anyways, I didn't vote because it won't let me choose both Tara and Giles. 🙁
I can't pick between them as they are both great singers.
