I voted Season 5, back when i could still feel bad for him that he loved Buffy and she didn't love him back...once he got her, he got too cocky, and I didn't really like him anymore.
 
For me it was nearly a tie between 5,6 and 7 of Buffy...but I picked 7. He was so beautifully evolved by then and he kept making my heart hurt in the best ways...
 
Season 6 I voted for...I'm still shocked that a major TV show had a completely amoral sex symbol,he was just so damn evil!!That whole season is just him leering and yearning to kill people and that rocks!!😀
 
Season 7! The whole souful thing was great! Every week he made me cry in this season so its gotta be the best, although seasons 5 and 6 were a close 2nd and 3rd
 
I went with season four. He was still evil, but he was trying to adapt to the chip. I thought he was hilarious in this season. I'm especially a fan of Something Blue.
 
Season seven.

I love soulful Spike. wonderful. His character had grown so much, that he was the best!

Season five was second. The way he protected Dawn and helped Buffy.

(and let's not forget season six..... oh yeah. Sexy Spike.)

I feel the same way. I loved how he changed in season 7 and I don't think there was a more defining moment for me than his speech to Buffy in Touched. I could watch it over and over again!!!:: red :: :: red :: :: red :: :: red :: ::snail:: ::snail::

(I have two pet snails - Stripes and Wormy - so I had to put the snails up - very cool!!)
 
Blackarachnia, 😉 I am totally with you on that scene...I hate it when people say it's a rip from some Angel quote. Hell, other than the hundred number part I have said something like that before I started watching the show! I thought it was beautiful. Mostly for the other parts in the speech though wich is what's funny. Spike has a great deal of perception and he's amazing at saying things just so. A true talent for speech making...😛

BTW, pet snails...that's so freggin' cool! LMAO!
 
I say Season2 or 4 were his best seasons, he wasnt all nice and whipped back then, and I do think his quote was a rip off from what Angel said 🙂 .

Spike S5-7 just seemed to whipped and to nice, just made me want to yell

Nothing can change the way I see that scene. And Buffy confirms that it was that speech and his holding her that made her capable of going out to get the scythe - the reason they win.

Spike always has seen as well as Xander. Especially when it comes to Buffy.

My snails' names are Stripes and Wormy. They have a cool enclosure - get fresh carrot fronds and lettuce and sometime, beer. I love watching them.
 
I totally agree...I feel that Spike knows Buffy so well...it's his perceptivness that I think I might just love most about him...that and his intensity in general...good stuff!

Stripes and wormy sound cool. You should post their picture sometime...I'd love to see them! 😉
 
I'm with PS and Magui. The beginning of the speech didn't sound like a rip, but right when he said 100+ years... was I ever mad, it made my blood boil... or what I would imagine boiling blood would feel like. 😛
 
OMG...So one mutated part from ONE line of it sounded kinda similar...that doesn't make the whole speech a rip. Why do some people always seem to feel the need to bash on every little thing that Spike does or says? Let the guy have credit for something already jeez...it's like some people don't want him to have anything...the girl, the humanity, a part on the show, any decent screen time and now he can't even have credit for an inspirational speech because 3 words were the same...what's the big deal? Sorry but I guess I just got touchy since I see that so much and this is supposed to be a positive Spike thread IMO. Ok, here endith the rant...I apologize. Back on topic...

He was pretty cool in season 4 too. I loved the whole neutered vampire thing in the Initiative when he's sitting on the bed with Willow...that whole scene was pricless...and when he was stuck living with Xander and Giles...lmfao...I guess I just like the under dog...
