He was pretty cool in season 4 too. I loved the whole neutered vampire thing in the Initiative when he's sitting on the bed with Willow...that whole scene was pricless...and when he was stuck living with Xander and Giles...lmfao...I guess I just like the under dog...

I too feel that many people are way too hard on Spike. He is dynamic, three dimensional, unpredictable. and he did the ulitmate for love. This is not a put down of Angel - you don't have to hate Spike because you love Angel.

Anyway, that speech was so Spike - it was just how he talks and he had referred earlier to the fact that he's done so much but never felt close to anyone. It was using repetition to tie the two together. And I'm sure Joss didn't mean to rip himself off.

I will try to post pics of Wormy and Stripes but it is hard to get a camera to focus on them since they are so small.

Yeah, Angel is great and all and I know that he gets bashed too sometimes but when I go to a David thread I don't trash him in every thread or say mean things about him...in fact the only time I ever really wind up speaking negetivly about him is when it comes out that way because I am very quick to defend Spike...I watched Angel for 4 years without a Spike influence and that's what makes me sad...I actually do like Angel...lol...I don't think one is really better than the other...they are just different. A lot of people think Spike hasn't changed and I say WHAT?! It's all going to depend on the type of person you are and the type of people you get. I look at him and see such an amazing transformation but you have to get how he works to see that. That in itself makes me all the more amazed at how intricatly woven all of the aspects of Spike are in the way James plays them. You just have to really get the character. And some people can't simply because they don't understand his motivation or his defenses. Which is ok because we all feel that way about one character or another...like Allycat would feel about Harm...I don't get it but he does and that rocks...that's the beauty of the Buffyverse...richly developed, everchanging characters that are so very different from each other and at the same time so very much alike...even if we can't all see it. Or like it...

I am almost sad the Spike is on Angel now - I like the angel gang and think the idea for this season's arc is really engaging. And I like to think of him as he was. I don't like the character of Angel but I think that is part of why I watch - to rage at my TV. Strong feelings, both negative and positive, keep us watching.

But I don't think anyone can argue that Angel has changed more than Spike. He has grown somewhat but not from an evil, maniacal killer into a sensitive but still tough and sarcastic lover.

I chose Season 6. I have not yet completed my S7 watching, but I *really* enjoyed Spike all Season 6 long! 😀

Season 6 is my fav Spike season, mostly cause of OMWF (cause I love James' voice) but also because he becomes more human like even though he doesnt have his soul yet.

I love him in Season 3 and 4 of Buffy and Season 1 of Angel. He was so funny when he was playing the 'Big bad'.

i really used to like spike before he got all fluffy on us. he was so funny as a bad guy but when he went all soft i lost interst. so i said season 2

I liked season four, because he was really funny, probably more than previous seasons due to the lack of evilness.

Yup,in s4 he was very funny,especially when wearing Riley's clothes!..but I prefer him in S2,he was great,evil,too cool,not 'Ilove you Buffy,love me back*begging*' kind of guy....S2 was just awesome....I also loved him in s3,when he was talking about Dru,that was hilarious,..and,well,I love him in every season,so...Go him no matter the season/show😀:: tu ::
