I guess it is a general teen movie rather than a teen girl movie, but I related to Kat Stratford so badly when I was younger. We shared the same anti-social tendencies, dry sense of humour and love of alt rock. In fact, I related to Kat more than to someone like Cher Horowitz.

I hear they're remaking Heathers. That can only be a bad decision in my eyes.

Agree with you about Heathers. As for Cher in Clueless I don't really think you are meant to relate to her at least not in the begining. Part of the charm of the film is that its funny enough, but also human enough in places to not distance you from the character. The way she changes over the film is big reason why you don't hate her. Also, I never felt there was anything cynical about her. She was just naive.

Oh God! I hate the idea of them remaking Heathers. Has to be one of the worse ideas for a remake ever!🙄
 
Remaking Heathers is one of many cowardly and clueless decisions made in Hollywood. You may update it with modern social networks, cellphones and fashion but all of those things are peripheral to the story. Besides, how does anyone top Shannon Doherty in being a bitch? I see from imdb that it is being remade as a made-for-TV movie with Shannon Doherty still playing Heather but not Heather Duke, her original character. Heather Duke will be played by Brendan Scannell. Did someone at imdb make another mistake? This can't be right.

Don't even get me started on the Heather's remake.

"Heather McNamara (originally played by Lisanne Falk) is now a black lesbian, Heather Duke (originally Shannen Doherty) is a male who identifies as gender-queer and is actually called Heath, and Heather Chandler (originally portrayed by Kim Walker) has a body like Martha Dumptruck, who is an overweight and bullied character from the 1988 film."

So they completely ignored the basis of what being a Heather was and was meant to be.

Kat is the best! Lol. I don't think I can relate to any teen girl in a movie though. I do love Cher's character arc. Maybe I relate to Janice from Mean Girls, the most? Lol.

I've not seen Heathers, but I don't like that idea for a TV show either. I'm tired of them making movies into shows lately.
 
Almost impossible to pick between Heathers, The craft and Jawbreaker... I mean, c'mon...

In the end I went with Heathers because it's brilliant, but technically it's a share first place. .)
