Which Buffy scenes make the best use of a pop song?

My top three are
- It Doesn't Matter in When She Was Bad
- Full of Grace in Becoming II
- Wild Horses in The Prom

Songs written for Buffy don't count (no OMWF, Buffy/Angel theme music, Gift or Hush music...)

Does Bif Naked count? I used to be a big fan of hers (and still give her a listen at times), and I loved it when she sang We Are the Lucky Ones in season 4 Buffy.

Full of Grace, 100%! Thanks to that song, I always weep when I hear it, and as soon as those notes kick in, in the episode, I'm sitting in a corner, rocking back and forth, lol.

My favourite was probably the use of Goodbye to You in Tabula Rasa. I know it has been somewhat overused in TV shows, but it's just so great in that scene.

 

[Fool for Buffy]

It's a toss up between Goodbye to You and Full of Grace. They both make me an emotional wreck as they're played during two of the most heartbreaking moments during the show. I'm gonna go with Goodbye to You because the lyrics match the storylines better. But that's me being incredibly picky.

These are all excellent. I think I would say Full of Grace as my #1. I also love Inconsolable from Prophecy Girl, I'll Remember You from Angel (the episode), Sugar Water from When She Was Bad, and You and Me from The Freshman. Oh, and That Kind of Love from Entropy.

You guys have said most of the best ones. Some others that come to mind is "Virgin State Of Mind" from Doppelgangland. Veruca's band (THC in real life) from Beer Bad and Wild At Heart had some great songs, like "Overfire", "Dip" and "Need To Destroy", that I still love to this day. The song at the end of Gone, Trepasser William's "I Know" struck a chord with me. And Aimee Mann's guest appearance in "Sleeper" was definitely a highlight. "Pavlov's Bell" and "This Is How It Goes" is what originally drew me into her music, and now I'm a big fan. 😛

I have THC songs on my MP3 all thanks to Wild at Heart. Don't no one judge them based on Veruca's bad lipsynching, they're a great band.
