Best/Worst Characters By Season

I decided not to focus on any of the major players and fix my attention to the supporting cast. For best, I listed the character which I thought brought the most to the story/scene for the time they were allowed. For the worst I focused on under/undeveloped characters; the characters on my worst list could have been much better (and should have been) if they were allowed to develop a bit. The worst part is potential never realized from these characters.

Really? You didn't even like her interactions with Giles over computers VS. Books in IRYJ? The only thing I have against her is that the actress wasn't the best, but then for what she had to do I guess she was fine.

Worst: Kendra (don't hate her as much as everyone else here, but she was easily the weakest thing in this season).

Best: The Mayor/Faith
Runner Up: Snyder (this hate for him has to stop🙄)
Worst: Amy (at a stretch again very little stands out as bad this season)

Season 4
Best: Willow
Runner Up: Xander/Spike
Worst: Riley
Runner Up: Adam

Season 5
Best: Glory
Runner Up: Anya/Buffy
Worst: Dawn
Runner Up: Riley (if he had been in more episodes he would have beat Dawn hands down)

Best:Well,this is hard...I'll go with Willow.
Worst:Whole Initiative.Forrest/Professor Walsh/Adam/Riley they were all boring.

Worst:Spike.It is not that I don't like him in general,but I hate what they did to his character from season 5 and on.

Best:Cordelia!I've always loved her,in ATS even more.
Worst: David Nabbit-annoying and pointless character.
Season 2:

Worst:Angelus and possessed Cordelia.Angelus was wierd and not the same Angelus from Buffy season 2.And Jasmine thing ruined Cordelia's character a lot.

Best: Buffy and Willow (can't decide!)
Worst: Molloch from BTVS's worst episode, 'I Robot, You Jane'. Also, the Pointless--I mean, the Anointed One.

Season 2
Best: Willow and Oz
Worst: That idiot werewolf hunter in 'Phases', Ted, and Spike and Dru's nerdy henchman guy (why the #$%& do vampires need glasses?)

Season 3
Best: Willow
Worst: Every watcher that is not Giles or Wesley. Berks.

Season 4
Best: Willow
Worst: Veruca (DIE!!!😡)

Season 5
Best: Spike
Worst: Riley

Season 6
Best: Tara
Worst: Warren (I should've been glad to see him die, but I hated seeing Willow kill anyone, so...)

Season 7
Best: Faith, which is amazing since she only appears in 5 episodes in the whole season.
Worst: one of the Potentials, either Rhona or Kennedy.


ANGEL:
Season 1
Best: Angel and Faith
Worst: can't think of anybody

Season 2
Best: Angel and Darla
Worst: Kate (and Groo)

Season 3
Best: Fred
Worst: Groo

Season 4
Best: Faith
Worst: Jasmine

Season 5
Best: Agh! Three-way tie between Fred, Spike and Wesley.
Worst: Eve

For Buffy only, I'll probably have to rewatch Angel.

Season 1:
Best: Buffy - this is how you make a good first impression.
Worst: Uhh... the Anointed One?

Season 2:
Best: Willow
Worst: Anointed One (zzzz... cheered when Spike killed him)

Season 3:
Best: Faith
Worst: Cordelia after she "reverts to form", a year of character development thrown out the window. Dishonorable mention goes to Xander guilt-tripping Buffy over not telling them about Angel being back while he was cheating on Cordelia. Wow.

Season 4:
Best: Buffy for the most part, but every character had their individual moments (even if the season itself wasn't particularly strong). Runners-up are Spike and Anya.
Worst: Prof. Walsh, what a bitca.

Season 5:
Best: Buffy, Spike, and Giles -- loved Buffy's dedication to her sister, Spike's entire arc, and Giles being the best watcher in the world.
Worst: Riley (good character in S4, here he bitched and moaned about Buffy not spending enough time with him while her mother was in the hospital)

Season 6:
Best: Tara, she was so cute. Special mention goes to Anya in the last three episodes.
Worst: Ehh... TBH every character except Tara pissed me off at some point during this season. I'll say Amy, for screwing with Willow's attempt to go cold turkey.

Season 7:
Best: Xander, I guess. Andrew had a lot of funny moments. And Faith in her five episode return.
Worst: Empty Places was an episode that made me hate everyone aside from Faith, Spike, and Andrew. Even after they defected to Buffy's side it was hard to get over the whole mutiny thing, which is probably THE single most contrived moment in the Buffyverse.

Can't believe it's been almost three months since I last posted on this thread.

Angel

Season 1:
Best: Tie between Angel (for sheer badassery) and Cordelia (for the humor). I would've said Doyle had he lasted through the whole season.
Worst: Kate. Ugh.

Season 2:
Best: Angel. Although admittedly he was kind of a dick in a few episodes.
Worst: Kate, until she stops appearing.

Season 3:
Best: Cordelia in the first half, Wesley in the second half.
Worst: Justine. Special mention also goes to Linwood. I cheered when Lilah decapitated his cowardly ass.

Season 4:
Best: Wesley, for his awesome character transformation. Oh, and Faith, for three episodes.
Worst: Connor. Who didn't cheer when Faith put him in his place? Dishonorable mention goes to Possessed!Cordelia. According to Charisma, she hated where they took her character this season and it shows.

Season 5:
Best: Spike for the humor, Wesley for the drama, Illyria for the awesomeness (Amy was great this season).
Worst: Eve and her smug attitude, she truly was a poor man's Lilah Morgan.
