Better fighter?

It's been suggested elsewhere on this board from time to time Summer Glau would be ideal for the role of Fray.

One of the criticisms of that idea has been Summer is too small and fragile to be believeable in the action scenes.

Well now we have the perfect response to that - Check out Serenity

Acually it shouldn't be hard to understand why Summer can make us believe her in the action scenes. She studied Ballet. I don't mean she took a few ballet lessons. I mean she was a ballet dancer. This means she has strength, flexibility, muscular co-ordination, and something other action stars don't have - grace.

Also I like the way Summer runs. It's similar to the Buffy-run, but better. I know that doesn't make her a better fighter. It just means I like to watch her run.
 
I cannot believe the poll is this close! I thought River kicked way more butt than Buffy ever could...dont get me wrong...Buffys one heck of a fighter, but I think it was better with River, and it was AMAZING to watch!
 
Ok, here's a little disclaimer. I love River. I also love Buffy. But I ADORE River. That said, River could kick Buffy's BUTT. I mean
she killed a whole ship full of the nastiest villians Joss has given us since the Gentlemen.
River rocks socks.
 
River! No competition She would destroy Buffy, The way she fought was amazing I have never seen fight scenes so cool in my life!
 
River was totally amazing in this movie...she was a much better fighter than Buffy.
I always thought that if a poll like this came up, there would be no doubt that i would vote for Buffy...but after seeing that movie, River just blew me away!

The River fight seens were incredible, they seemed completely real and I loved watching them and got genuinely excited whilst doing so and i think if it ever came to river vs buffy that buffy should just run cos she'd be slayed
 
River fought ALOT better than Buffy......hell.....at least River actually DID ALL her fight scenes, Buffy did barely half.....and had a double most the time. But anyway, back on subject....the way Buffy is shown to fight, and the way River is shown to fight, yes......River is MUCH more lethal....NEARLY as lethal as Angel! Damn, if it weren't for Angel's vampire speed, then River could probably take him. That's another thing I've always liked about Angel.....his in-human...nearly Superman-like speed, something that Buffy WISHES she had.
