Hey, did you ever notice that Joss never kills of any female Big Bads? Like this:

Season One: The Master was killed.
Season Two: Angelus was killed.
Season Three: Faith was gutted, not killed; the Mayor was blown up.
Season Four: Adam.
Season Five: Glory died while in the form of Ben.
Season Six: Warren.
Season Seven: Caleb.

I'm not sure about Angel because I haven't watched all of that but I just though that that was kinda cool. Maybe a coincidence? Probably not. 😀

I've never really noticed that.

He kills off a lot of GOOD girls though:
  1. Joyce
  2. Tara
  3. Fred
  4. Cassie(from Hex)
  5. Buffy...twice(she's still alive though, so does that really count?)
Ooh, he killed Cordelia, and she was sort of evil!
 
On Angel:

1.) In season 4, the "evil" goddess thing Jasmine was killed by her own father.

2.) Darla was killed by her own hand.

3.) Like Tru said, Cordy went evil briefly, and she died as a direct result of that little incident.

4.) Lilah Morgan died.

On Angel, at least, the big bad chicks died.
 
technically, Darla wasn't a big bad...at least not at the end. she was more of a big bag when she was on Buffy...and guess what?! she was killed! :lmao:

i do agree, though, that Joss seemed to kill more of the male baddies...even going so far as to kill Glory when she was in her Ben form, a male.
 
well he also kills more of the male jsut because there was MORE of them in the grand scheme of things (BTVS wise anyway).
 
Joss just kills! really your nothing unless Joss Whedon has either killed or tried to kill you! I don't think their is any prefernece gender wise.
 
Maybe he continued the 'I'm tired of the blond girl in movies getting killed off' thing and carried it over, on BtVS, to the majority of the big bads.

Joyce, Cassie and Buffy's first death aren't killings, they die of natural causes, so to speak. Buffy drowning is still a death but it wasn't a killing as such.
