Update Big Brother 2009 - Start Date Announced

Please only post in relation to the game - it keeps the thread clean.

EB - To be honest given the majority of people are in houses it isn't something that came to mind and it was overlooked (there is a lot of learning on the job in doing one of these games). But your application will still be considered because it is not fair to discount you from application purely because you are not in a house.

If we have to start out with more than 12 housemates then we will. Each house will have the same amount of housemates before anyone suggests that one house may have less should a non (buffy boards house) member be admitted.

If you have seen any Big Brother on tv you will know why i'm not concerned about housemate numbers.

The opening night. No one will know who's going to be in it.

The contestants will be informed that they are going into the house a week before it starts, but they won't be told who their fellow housemates are, nor will the rest of the boards.
 
Probably some time in May, maybe towards the middle of the month. We're using this month to get the applications in, and finalize the final layout of the 'house' and the other boring stuff.
 
A big thanks to those who have been quick off the mark and got their applications in! Remember you have until the end of the month if you want to apply so get moving!

As Faith said earlier in the thread;

"Closing date will be the end of the month -we are still working on the secret stuff and it gives people time to consider their applications. Once applications are closed housemates will be contacted one week later with the game starting the following week. A more solid annoucement with specific dates will be posted later in the month. "

So people who applied can expect to know if they got through around the end of the first week in may, and Big Brother will start around the end of the second week, right? (roughly?)

In answer to your question about how much time will need to be dedicated a day, I can't say too much without giving anything away.

We will be having small daily tasks and some larger tasks. Because we will be having daily tasks you will have to be on every day. If you want to be the most interaction with your housemates then obviously the longer you are online the better. We will have housemates from different timezones so obviously this will be taken into consideration as well as the fact that people have work/school.

How much time you have to dedicate depends on how involved you want to be, as I said we will be having the tasks but outwith that there will also be interaction with your housemates with discussions and the like so it really is up to you.

The minimum is once a day.
 
Meh, I'm generally good to get on the internet one way or another, internet at home, internet at work, and internet at my parents.

I am not going to get into every single instance of not getting online etc but if you have a genuine reason then obviously we will take it into consideration when you get back online.
 
Today is the last day for applications, guys, so anyone who would still like to be considered for BB BB, then please get your applications to either myself or Nix at some point today.
