Big Brother: Big Thanks

I want to say a huge thanks to everyone who took part, from those actually in the house and those on the outside watching.

Another huge thanks goes to the staff for helping out and making it fun. It was a lot of work but worth it in the end when it went live.

Congrats to Flannen our winner who will be getting her prize soon!

It does seem that people are interested in having another one, we do have some ideas and will be looking at perhaps doing it annually.

The first game was very trial and error and we have learned some lessons during it. If anyone has any suggestions on improvements either as a doll or a watcher please post below so we can use these when making the next game!

I'll admit that I got so overwhelmed with new threads & really fast posting at the beginning that I stopped following it except for the evictions. It looks like you guys took steps to try to correct that, though, but I figured I'd throw it out there.

My suggestion would be for whoever is incharge of the next one to actualy reply to people when people PM them.

I have an idea. How about making all the dolls anonymous (like Lima this time), no one is allowed to really give away how they are. Both the outside and the inside don't know who is who, have to guess who the dolls realy are and have to vote without knowing who a doll actually is.

Call me crazy, but I think that would be fun!

First off, you guys who put this together deserve a MASSIVE round of applause and a huge heap of thanks for all you put into BB:BB!

My only suggestion would be similar to what Clem Rocks has said above. The only thing I would have liked to have seen more of, is replies from Big Brother in the Diary Room. But obviously, like us housemates, you couldn't be online all the time and Big Brother wasn't just there to speak in the Diary Room; you had nominations, evictions, tasks etc to sort out so I do understand why you couldn't have been sitting waiting for everyone to post and reply! 🙂

The tasks were awesome. I was really impressed with how diverse they were and I really liked that. No two tasks were the same and they each asked different things of us, which kept me entertained. Good work, all round guys! :thumbs:

We did have several staff covering as Big Brother, but incidently my holiday happened in the middle of it all, it was either delay it again or I left and others took charge.

But this is exactly the kind of stuff I was looking for!

My idea is make it longer, im not saying 12 weeks but maybe a wek or so longer, nominations were happening too fast.
Another thing was mentioned by some of the people watching i cannot remeber who said it exactly but i noticed people talking about having 2 differnt big brothers for the timezone differences.

And yes, you all deserve a massive round of applause for the work you put into it

Yep Lizzie, Insane Mystic mentioned it. I do think it is a good idea,

perhaps at diffrent times, like the next one, please!! have another one, have the BBers down under do it.... and another time after that do uk/usa timezones.


I think they should have had more rewards and alcohol in the house, and it was hard to keep up with but actually I think Lizzie has a point re-nominations, if it was longer, it could be slower paced, if the Dolls didnt get dormsick so easy.

I think the nominations happened too often. As someone who had work to juggle with getting online it seemed like all I was doing was nominating! Perhaps have less evictions but more people going at a time, if you want to keep the time period the same?

I also think it'd be good to have people going in anonymously, as it would help a bit with people being more popular on the "outside". Obviously friends of those in the house could work out who they were by noticing them not online & how they talk/where they're from/other details etc, but I think it'd help a bit.

I really enjoyed my time in the house and I'd also like to thank all the staff for putting this together 🙂

I am with Blondie, I was too overwhelmed by the massive amounts of posts to be able to follow it the way I originally wanted to. But I do LOVE the idea of making the next one anonymous and making everyone keep their identity a secret. 😀 Kinda like The Mole. 😉

I was talking to LG (actually, is there a specific thread for ideas?) and it would be good if the 'Lima' was able to talk/manipulate members directly...ie, have access to see 'The Diary room' as everyone else sees it and respond to them.

I also like the idea of BB Survivor. Anyway, thanks to everyone who put the effort in!

I really enjoyed my time in the house and thanks to everyone who put so much time and effort into it. (I actually miss been in there.... is that sad! Still finding the boards a bit overwhelming lol)

My suggestion would be to have threads set up already for the housemates to post in, then you wouldn't have the influx that we saw at the beginning of Big Brother.

Also to have more spys or secret tasks given to members of the house. So if they won a task, let them know they have but give them something to do, like persuade someone to break a rule, or ignore certain dolls but be exempt from nominations. Just something to stir up some tension in the house and make people paranoid! I found that sometimes it was a bit Nice in there lol
