OK, well I want to know peoples opinions of George W. Bush.

I know some of you have strong comments either for or against and i wonder if a decent debate can be held on the matter.

Say what you will regarding him, he is a sport

Double Dubya

I hate him with a fiery passion. For one he signed the bill that allowed thousands of once protected wild mustangs to go to slaughter. Two, he began this war in Iraq. Maybe SOME of his intentions were good, and its great that the people are liberated from Saddam's rule, but all in all i think he's just war happy. I'm also for abortion, freedom of choice (in the first trimester only! and at least in cases of rape) and for gay marriage, so I disagree with Bush's opinion on both. However, i feel our most recent elections were a which is worse kinda deal...had to pick the lesser of two evils. I hate Bush, but Kerry was one scary dude. Although when speaking he made Bush look like a five year old. So, due to choosing a lesser of two evils people decided Bush was the lesser. Apparently only about 25% of the population still agrees with that choice, and it seems to be less every day as his approval rating continues to drop. Yea...I REALLY don't like this guy.
Oh, he also managed to make the profiting, surplus economy plummet like a rock. How much longer are we still stuck with this guy?

Oh by the way...in case anybody wasn't sure...I don't like Bush. hehe

til 2008...maybe Rudy Guiliani will run. that would be nice. Not the biggest Bush fan, actually I don't care for him at all. I am amused when he speaks though..it is just funny.

Never cared for the man. Cared for him even less after that Florida ramjob.

But hey, he's always good for a laugh. I still remember the time he uttered; "Imports come from other countries".

Whoa, no shyte, Chief?? I did not know that.

Oh that man is hilarious!! He should be a stand up comedian, I love that quote where he says something like "They have no problem hurting our people, and neither do we", lol.

I dont actually have an opinion on him professionally, cuz I find watching the news, and reading the newspaper kinda boring.

I CAN NOT STAND THIS MAN!! He is a stupid texas idiot who cant think for himself, 1. we should never have been in iraq. 2.we STILL shouldnt be there. 3. the only reason gas prices are up is cuz of him! 4. he's against gays(im not gay but my best friend is and he wants to get married.)5. hes a psycho who needs to get impeached already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GO KERRY!!!!! (haha)

ok, first bush supporter to step up to the plate i guess

i would first and foremeost like to comment on my stance that i dont think non-americans have a right to criticize america's choice for president because its one thing to complain when you're in another country and a total different to get over here and fix it yourself. if you really dont like it, shut up and do something about it.

now, i support any pro-life presidents. if you're pro-choice, no matter how you stand on any other issue, i wont vote for you. so, thats one major thing for bush.

also, there is no war in Iraq. to go to war, congress must allow it. Congress has done no such thing therefore there is no war so you cant blame it on Bush.

also, it was commented that:
the only reason gas prices are up is cuz of him

uh, yeah, i would just like to ask, where the heck did this come from? gas prices are up because of OPEC. the president has absoutley no say on what the price gas is. now, where we get our oil is an entirely different issue, but you commented on the price of gas. and honestly, you could attribute the gas prices to our alliance with Israel, which happened in, i believe, the '40s so that has nothing to do with Bush

I totally agree with you on that, I'm really not a fan of people that complain about how the American people could choose him as president, They don't know all the details they don't live in that country. I have friends that really don't like him, and always say stuff like "Why did they vote for him" and I say We don't live in the country you can't really comment on why the people voted for him, and their only reply is so!

Faithlehane agrees: it is up because we are in iraq, and most people dont support that, and our oil suppliers wont supply us with it, because he refuses to get them out of Iraq, there for, Gas pirces are his fault.

please show me proof that the gas prices are up because we are in iraq

I agree with that princess, it is totally our fault. as for the evidence., there is no written proof, but think about why the places arent giving us oil, listen to their explantions.

Gas prices always go up during war.

I'm not anti-Bush per se. I hate people that are, when they don't have a conclusive reason why, and they are just perpetuating media crap.

The argument that soldiers are dying in Iraq really irritates the crap out of me. THEY'RE SOLDIERS. They joined the f-king army, you servile boot licking scum, get a job, soap dodger.

If Bush wasn't religious I'd probably like him, he is certainly entertaining.

lol ya good point.

actually, gas prices changed drastically for the first time in 10 years after Sept 11 so technically you should blame terrorists

Bush is a guy with decent and respectable goals, but his destination is a bit off.
Getting rid of terrorists? Great idea. Not one democrat would go against that...but it's how he does it that irks people.
Personally, I think he knows that getting out of Iraq is the right thing to do but he won't do it. It would make him appear wrong for going there in the first place. (And about the Iraqi thing--it's not a war. It's an invasion).

Too bad he can't run for another election. His motto would be "Great ideas. Bad approach. Bush '08"

Faithlehane agrees: I blame Bush, because there was ABSOULTLY no reason for us to go into Iraq, he got faulty info, and found out about it before he sent the troops out, and he STILL sent them out!!

because of the WMDs? oh wait, but what about getting saddam out of power? and besides, its not bush's fault he got faulty info and you cant just say that he got that info before he sent them out. you have no proof

Faithlehane agrees: Bush said himself in one of the debates with Kerry that he got the info before the soliders were stationed!

not sure where you're getting that info cuz that's impossible. troops werent deployed until after bush had been elected because they were sent out after sept 11

Not for the reason that Bush said, Clinton sent out the troops because of the terriosit attack, Bush sent the toops out because of his "info" about the nuclear weapons,. although there has been some allegations that that info is wrong too, and the reason they went out is to get bush money, either way you have to listen to every bit of what ppl say, cuz everything has a bit of truth and a bit of lies.

Well honestly, i've been reading alot on Bush recently, and i don't mind admitting my views were tarnished by Michael Moore.
Now, not so much.
Bush is doing his job, he is doing it pretty well actually considering the fierce critisism he has faced.
He might be looked upon as a fool by the majority of the world, but we all have our own internal problems to deal with.
On Iraq however, Bush sent the troops based on information recieved from the British Intel. He was not made aware of it being false until after. thats AFTER, the first strikes, by which time it was too late to stop.
Lets not forget, a tyrant was diposed, a murderer........
FYI, Tony Blair said in a Commons meeting that it was British Intel, and the dates it was found out.

I still dont like Bush...however I do agree with you on most of this...I dont blame solely him for the war in Iraq, I dont agree with the war, but i guess i dont blame only Bush for it, even though the information was wrong some good did come out of it...however some bad did as well...but that would be the case no matter what he decided...I don't support most of Bush's political views...such as abortion and gay marriage which is why i dont like him, but he isnt all bad, and no matter what he decided about Iraq he would still face criticism...sometimes neither choice is good you just have to try and decide which is not as bad as the other...

Uhm, that's not relevant at all. Where information comes from, be it british intel or American. Bush personally doesn't gather the information, he is told what's what, and he acts on it.

The U.S has backed and helped create dictatorships in other countries, because it suited their needs at the time, when the situation changes so does their policies. Bush attacked Iraq under the flag of fighting terrorism. While Saddam was in charge of Iraq there was virtually no functional international terrorism infrastructure in Iraq. Now that Bush is running Iraq there is.

Let's have a look at this wonderful job Bush is doing shall we?

Economy - Not so good. I've heard phrases like, "down the toilet" used to describe it. The policy of rob from the poor to feed the rich didn't work.

During the first three years of the Bush-Cheney administration, the unemployment rate increased by one-third and 2.2 million jobs were lost, and the country has gone from a $281 billion surplus to a $521 billion deficit. Debt has increased 23% from $5.7 trillion, to $7 trillion.

Iraq - Whether you're for it or against it, Bush entered the conflict without an exit strategy. He took it over, and had no idea what to do with Iraq once he had it. Now America is on it's way to having another Vietnam with no idea how to get out. Plus Afghanistan is starting to erupt again, for pretty much the same reason - no exit strategy.

Personal rights and freedoms - Forget about it. Average people's phones are being monitored. Added law enforcement brought in supposedly to protect America from terrorism is being used for stuff like catching college kids downloading music.

New Orlean's - Let's just remember Bush embracing Mike Brown: his selection to run FEMA (turned out he lied on his resume), and leave it at that.

Immigration - Amnesty for lawbreakers? How is that going to help? Bringing in mass immigration to create a cheap labor force is just another way of going to war against the middle class.
