If this has been posted somewhere and I didn't see it...I'm really sorry!

This is pretty juicy info though! I found it on the official Buffy board...


In an interview with Entertainment Weekly (June28/July 5), Joss talked about the upcoming season, and what to expect this fall.

"Last season was about getting everyone so depressed they wanted to kill themselves, and next season's about bringing [the show] back to life", he said. "I want to get back to where we started and to the theme, which is 'girl power'".

He said the first episode will show Sunnydale High, where Dawn is a freshman, and Buffy will be starting a new job (although he wouldn't elaborate). A new villian will be introduced to wreck havoc on the town; "everybody's worst nightmare", according to Joss. Willow will go to England to spend time with Giles, and parts of the first episode were shot there (at Tony's real-life estate, in fact!). Most of the episode will center around Willow trying to deal with the magic in her that she can't get rid of.



Now doesn't that just make you Oooh and Aaaah!? 😀

My only question is....why is it Dawn is just now going to high school when she said she was 15 in All the Way? So weird.
 
Where did you find that? I haven't heard anything like that. That is so cool.

I don't know maybe Dawn was held back a year? You know since her mom died and she wasn't doing to well? Maybe the Monk's had some inconsistencies?
 
The article was from Entertainment Weekly...someone nice posted it over on the Bronze on the official Buffy site. 🙂

That's true...maybe the monks messed up! I doubt they were really up on their high school knowledge *lol*
 
I seriously think that Buffy is going to be the new librarian at Sunnydale High.😉 I doubt that Dawn was held back; sometimes kids just start school late, like a year behind most other kids. So is this going to be in an issue of Entertainment Weekly? If so, do we know which week it hits the stands?

Buffy as the librarian? Now, that would be very interesting. And very weird too. I'm also wondering about the "Dawn is a freshman (freshwoman?)" thing. It screws with my head.
 
I think it comes out at the end of this week...at least by my calculations...

I can't wait to see what happens in the new Sunnydale High...with Dawn going there and all. Does anyone know if it is still going to be all hellish or was all of that taken care of?
 
The would be so cool with WIllow going to GIles to help her deal with this magic but I thought she lost it well any way I miss GIles and Buffy being a librarien I could so see that and its deffinatly going back to the old scooby ways have little gang meetings in the library .
 
no willow did not lose her power her humanity was sparked from the powers she stole from giles and that made her able to overcome the evil power that had taken over her
 
how can buffy be a librarian.by her own admission she's bad with books.and wouldn't she need qualifications beyond highschool level.and the police checks might put the kibosh on the idea.

he meant that shes going to their old highschool
maybe
which would support all these return torebuilt sunnydale high rumours ie a return to seasons 1 through 3

I'm sorry. I just didn't buy the whole her getting a job idea it would seem that the watcher's council would pay her something. You know? Can't have a homeless slayer and all that.

Tell me if I'm crazy.
 
Well, why doesn't Buffy just go into law enforcement as was suggested by her Career Day test (and Giles, I think) in "What's My Line (Pts 1& 2)"? If she could go to college, why not the police academy? Or she could be a security guard, or set up as a PI like our friends in "Angel"...
 
I don't know about y'all, but my high school has security guards... so maybe, as suggested by Tyra, Buffy can be the one of the school security guards!





...Or just the librarian🙄

Wow, Buffy a HS security guard, if she tells you to break up a fight, you break it up or lose a vital organ. But no, apparently she gets work as some sort of informal counciler or outreach of some kind. And I guess that Dawn just started school late or something, she is supposed to be 15-16 age wise, although it could be Michelle's age which confuses the issue, Dawn is 15-16, Michelle is 16 almost 17, so that could be where the confusion lies. Plus Michelle wants Dawn to be wearing as she puts it "Black and heels". I wonder if the rest of the female cast can deal with that, especially since Michelle in heels will pretty much tower over SMG or AH(not sure how tall EC is). In case your wondering why I say this, consider these height figures: SMG is 5'3, AH is 5'3, Charisma Carpenter is actually only 5'5, but Michelle is actually 5'6 and still growing, so like I said, she'll be pretty much making SMG look like a dwarf if she puts on heels.
