First of all, those height figures have shocked me. Charisma Carpenter is only 5'5? She looks a lot taller than that on screen. And the second thing is, why is everyone assuming that Dawn is attending this new school as a freshman? Think about this. When Dawn started high school, the school she originally would have gone to, Sunnydale high, was burned to a crisp. Therefore, it makes sense that she would have had to go to a different school. Following that logic, it also makes sense that if they re-built the school, she would now have to change schools and go to the school that is closer to her house.

I think that was a bad rumor, she is going to be a sophmore, even Joss has stated that Dawn is the same age as Buffy when she started at Sunnydale HS.

Maybe they were wrong... Dawn must be going in to 10th grade. Maybe they're just assuming that Sunnydale High is grades 9 through 12.
