Biggest Mistake

riley was a mistake.

I dont think its fair to say that UPN didnt care about Buffy, it overpaid to get it and spotlighted it as the show that was going to help their network. UPN hoped that Buffy would do for it what it did for the WB.
 
I agree with those of you that feel certain things are nessessary. Jenny and Tarra dying sucked, let's face it. Alot of you hated Spike and Buffy and the whole near rape deal but it keeps you on your toes. Those things NEED to happen. Joss knows the best way to keep you going is to piss you off. I love season six with a passion because they were so raw. They really got down and dirty. They did things that left you speechless. They got real. They didn't hold back.
 
i think some mistakes would be Tara's death, even though i know they had to have her die to make willow all evil, i didn't like it.
Also the whole buffy/spike relationship going on forever. I like them together but i didn't like how the whole thing w/ buffy sleeping w/ spike and then hating herself and him for it went on for so long, it got kind of old...
 
I hated the whole Spike/Buffy thing before season 7 wasn't great! It contridicted Buffy being Angel's girl for life
 
I think the biggest mistake was saying bye-bye to Angel...I know they had to...It so sucked...Or bringing Riley into the picture...Oh hell naw!It aint goin down like that ya see?Lol...Gangsta talk.Joke...Hehe.Neways...I think something shoulda happened between Xander and Willow.
 
They shouldn't have brought Dawn into the storyline it's stupid and dumb the way they did that. They should have never written Oz off of Buffy he was cool.
 
I love Buffy to pieces but when I think of BtVS, I think of the oldest episodes, the ones where they were free spirits in high school. After season 3, the show was different, the storylines always had hidden meanings and the seasons seemed so dark and didn't have as many stand alone episodes in. It's probably me not wanting to grow up even though I act older than my age most of the time. Buffy grew up. That changed the show forever. I was a true fan to BtVS 6 years ago when I first started watching Season 2, it was only 2 years ago I got back into it because I knew Buffy was going to die... again! As much as I rant on, in 20 years time I can tell all the little kids that Buffy The Vampire Slayer was a great TV show and, although was ended, still lives on. Buffy is Buffy and I wouldn't say I have any problem with any storylines- Buffy's not a soap opera where things are predictable, Buffy lives in a world of constant change, something we sometimes can't deal with.

i agree...Dawn was kinda...Well...Pointless...Well...That sounded wrong...You know what i mean...i wonder how the show woulda gone with out her....

I also agree with that!I mean dawn and saying bye to angel and writing off oz...I hate it but ENDING the show...But its sarah's life...
 
Buffy shouldn't have gone out with Riley at all because he was soooooooooooooooo dull! I reckon he should've died in Season Four, before he even got involved in the huge initiative plot.
Plus, Dawn should have jumped the tower instead of Buffy. That way, they could refer to Dawn as 'past history' instead of her still being there, all annoying and whiny.
 
i also liked the season 1-3, but i also liked season 4 alot... just the whole season, and the willow-tara thing... so i don't really think they've made alot of mistakes, exept maybe a few, like Riely, he was truly dull... and spike being good, he was so GREAT as evil, the whole soul thing was a little lame! I think BtVS is so great beacause of it's suprises and the people, so i don't really like to dwell on the mistakes exept one; the fact that it's over!!🙁 (but one the other hand: just like Rome; nothing lasts forever!!)
 
One thing I didn't like

The thing that I did not like was the fact that Buffy broke up with Riley I thought they looked okay together as a couple.
Plus In season six I hated Dawn and her attitude towards Buffy as like Buffy died for her and still throughout Season 6 shes always complaining that Buffy hates her.

The biggest mistake was keeping Angel on for Season 3. He should have went on to his own show by early or mid Season 3. He seemed redundant to the show by that time, and Buffy's relationship with Faith seemed more important and interesting.
