Wow, just wow. I just finally watched The Body, literally like a minute ago, (I've seen bits and pieces of it before) and... it was breath-taking. If I could take back my vote, it would go to The Body. I truly felt like I lost someone special in my life. Although I cried through almost literally the whole episode, when Buffy said: "They said not to touch the body!" I literally broke down. I just couldn't hold it in...

Many of episodes on the list make me all teary but I had to give my vote to The Body. I'm crying everytime I see it. Everything is shown in such realistic way that it gets me more than any other ep. Reactions of Scoobys, how they can't understand what happened..And Dawn's line at the end: "Where did she go?" The body was the saddest Buffy episode ever.
Next would be The Gift when Buffy sacrifices herself to save her sister. In that episode is other scene that really moves me. It's conversation between Buffy and Giles. When she says that she can't understand the world if she has to make such a choices. And how she wants her mum to be here.
Other big tear-jerkers are Grave(Xander saving Wilow and the world) and Chosen.
The moments that bring happy tears are of course Buffy getting un umbrella in "The prom" and when everyone's defending Tara in "Family". I so love that scenes!

I think I shed a tear in most, if not all, of the ones listed. But the biggest tear-jerker for me has always been "Becoming, pt. 2". I can put this ep(or Angel's "I Will Remember You") on if I ever need a good cry.

The Body. No question. I think it is one of the best (if not the best) episodes. I wanna show my mom, but her mom died last year and I'm not sure she could handle it.

I'm not a big cryer, but Hell's Bells got me a little teary. Having walked down the aisle myself, I think my tears were tears of relief that the same thing didn't happen to me. 🙂 Entropy got me, too... but they were happy tears. "Can you just be kissing me now?" Awww. Sweetness.

The Body for sure. That was one of the most powerful episodes of the whole series. It really captures that flood of emotion a person feels upon loosing a loved one. It was so sad the first time I watched, I don't think I've watched it since, but it definitely still stands out.
The Gift was a tear jerker too. The way Buffy sacrificed herself for Dawn.

The Body I think gets my top vote, though close behind are The Gift and Helpless. I chose The Body over The Gift mostly because, though The Gift's final scene may have made me cry more, all of The Body was devastating. Plus, it was just so well made, it was a bit mind-blowing. It was perhaps the only thing ever to make me to enthused, and yet so bored, simultaneously.

Ive Changed My Mind

Hells Bells - Felt So Bad For Anya this is the only time ive ever hated Xander
Becoming Prt 2 - Just The End When Buffys On The Bus and "Full Of Grace" Is Playing

i don't usually cry when i watch these episodes but in the body i was crying nearly the whole episode. they made this episode stand out by not having any music in it.

Ouch... definite ties going on here...

The Body, of course
Wild at Heart
The Killer in Me
New Moon Rising

......hmmmmm, they all contain Willow crying... hence, Willow cries = Buffanator cries. 🙁

Oh, and Hell's Bells. Man, I wanted to bite Xander's ass! :bite-cha:

Chosen didn't get me at the time. I think I was just too much on the edge of my seat, you know? But in hindsight... it was all pretty worthy of getting choked up. I mean, think about it: the core four meeting in the hall for the last time; Willow experiencing pure, light-driven power instead of dark power; all the slayers being called; Buffy passing the scythe (and the symbolic trust therein) to Faith; Anya and Spike dying for the greater good; Xander searching for Anya; everyone fighting Hell's hoards so darn bravely, many of them even with mortal (or potentially fatal) wounds and against all odds; and so much more. That last battle was awesome. If you stop to consider how far they've all come, well, every moment of that final battle is a tear jerker.

Since I'm a guy --- not happening on the tears. Nopenopenopenopenope.

That macho man facade said upfront... the entire episode "The Body" does give me allergies.
I have small reactions on the allergy meter for some other select episode scenes as well.

Allergies. Hehe.
^ That's exactly how I think Chosen will be for me when I finally decide to watch it for the second time. Yes, I've only seen it once, and, as with you, I was too overwhelmed to let everything sink in - the deaths, the sacrifices - so I didn't cry. I know I will on second watch, so I've been putting it off for months now. Heh.

The biggest tearjerkers for me are the Body and the Gift, the difference being that I cry quietly when I'm watching the former, but the latter is a real tear-fest; hiccups, runny nose, the works. It's not a pretty sight.

I was crying when I saw Chosen for the first time. Anya's death, Spike's death, Amanda's death(she was my favourite potential) everybody being ready to give up their life for saving the world... Finally Sunnydale was destroyed, all the places we knew stopped to exist: people's houses, the Bronze- nothing left, just a big hole.
And this was the end of the series. I got really teary so I'm getting everytime I see this. I just can't help it!

me too! it's heavy stuff!
for me, the tear jerker is "prom." dont get me wrong, a lot of the other epis have very sad moments, but the prom has the best "happy" tear jerker as jonathan reads his 'class protector' speech and then gives buffy the umbrella.

*tears of joy are brewing*

I voted for "The Gift" because that's the one that gets me sniffly every time I watch it. Others will get me misty depending on how I'm feeling at the time, though.
