Bill Before Ugandan Government Seeks to Make Homosexuality Illegal

Hi there.

I know I don't post much here, and the last time I did, I said some things that likely made a good bulk of you hate me, and I'm sorry for that. Please do not let whatever you think of me, or what I have posted, effect what you read here or do with this news. I'm not trying to spam ANYTHING up for anyone, but I am trying to spread this word as FAR and WIDE as I possibly can.

In less than 72 hours, Uganda is going to try and pass a bill that makes homosexuality punishable by DEATH. There are no words to describe how supremely upset and utterly disgusted I am by this. PLEASE sign this petition, and urge others to sign as well. We have got to stop this from happening.

Definately will sign! This is just appaling! I can't belive that any "civilized" country could do something like this.
 
I did this this morning. I think the whole thing is disgusting. The very idea that something like this got this far in the first place turns my stomach.
 
Signed, just in case it has an impact. Btw, the bill would also include the death penalty for people who are HIV-positive. Wtf.

Yeah, I'm dubious as to whether this can have any influence whatsoever, but just in case, I signed it.
 
well, homosexuality is illegal in many countries and punishable by death in some, so I'm not surprised by this.. I doubt this petition will do any good, but of course I signed it.

I'm fully aware of that, and that is disgusting as well. Who knows what it will do? May mean nothing, may mean the world. Either way, it is better to try to make a difference and fail than it is to never try at all.

Signed and tweeted about I heard about this ages ago because I watched adocumentuary called The worst place to be gay. It's horrible they are teaching hate and I just...I can't believe what they are doing, it's barbaric.

I agree with Darla.
I just saw some bad news in one of my news feeds. The news on this bill has been kinda unclear all day, but it looks like Ugandan legislators have replaced the death penalty with life imprisonment and the voting has most likely been pushed to Friday. The bill is still here and it's not over.
