if Angel "rescued" Billy wouldn't he have to touch him? like when they put the ropes around his wrists they would touch him and then theyed go insane and try to kill Cordy or Fred!

For all we know he might have touched him. Angel wasn't affected by Billy's touch so there's no way to know if he did or didn't touch Angel.

If we skip that explaination here's another one: It might have been some kinda recovery period for Billy. He had after all been trapped in a fire box for some time. Perhaps he just needed some rest fro his powers to kick in again.
 
Only thing I loved about the episode was SKIP.
But you're right we can't know if he touched him you would think he would have..
 
I thought his touch only influenced humans, not vampires and demons. Am I right? So then it doesn't matter whether or not Angel touched him.

it seems to, but Billy didn't know that cause he still tried his mojo on Angel
Billy was a really cool character. I kind of wish that whole thing had lasted for more than one episode. I wish the misogyny had sort of creeped up more slowly over two or three episodes so that it gradually became scarier and scarier.
 
Oh man, Wes...oh poor Wes. I'm mean, sure...poor Fred too but I really felt for Wes at the end of the whole Billy saga.

But yeah, Angel isn't affected as was pointed out at the end of the crazy "Shining" ep. And maybe Billy's powers were weak when he first saved him.

Yeah... my sympathies are with Wes, too. I like episodes like this. We sort of get a glimpse of his dark side. It's awesome.

Fortunately, his real dark side is way better (and less misogynous) than his Billy-induced dark side.
 
that's what i was thinking. maybe its more him touching them rather than them touching him, and also it has to be done with a purpose, not like if he accidently brushed his hand on some guy it would automatically affect him.

And hey , maybe the girls tied him up? haha ok maybe not but who knows?

It's possible the girls tied him up lol.

I wouldn't say it's on purpose in terms of touching because it affected Wes and Gunn remotely when they were handling his blood. Billy wouldn't have minded but he didn't know they were doing this, so he couldn't have purposefully affected them.
