Two words...Alex Denisof



Still have yet to see what the actor will do as i continue watching, but this was a "watershed" moment for both the chracter/actor.

Hated seeing Wes abuse/terrorize Fred, but the actor turned in a chilling performance. Actually the entire cast bought their A-Game.

But Denisof 0WNED this episode, plain and simple.

Hmm, I like the episode in many ways, but the whole "primordial misogyny" concept it's based on is rather objectionable if you think about it too much.
I loved the all the scenes involving Fred, Lilah, and Cordelia cause they were great in this ep! this ep makes up for the horrible 'She' ep.

I agree. This is one of my favorite episodes. Alexis is a great actor.

Ooh, you think Denisof is good now? Just wait until seasons 4 and 5! He's absolutely fantastic...it's such a shame he's not getting any work as of late. In my opinion, he deserves a leading TV role much more than David does (not that David isn't a solid actor, of course, but in my opinion, he can't even compare to other actors from the 'verse like James and Alexis who have ironically been much less successful than he has).

Also, I've only seen Billy once, but I can't remember having such fond memories of it. Huh. Maybe I just need to watch it again, since I can also recall being fairly distracted while I was watching it.

It was chilling. This scene freaked me out a little. Mostly because it's so opposite of his actual character. He did a fabulous job. Especially at the end when he was so torn up and could barely show his face to Fred. Now I want to watch it and I don't own this season...damn!
 
I thought it was a great episode. Wes was actually really creepy, I loved it. 😀 And that scene at the end is heartbreaking, Alexis always has the best sad faces. Oh and the Lilah and Cordelia dialogue is fantastic!

Boreanaz's acting was shaky when he started on BTVS, but he improved over the years. Marsters hit the ground running, he was awesome from day one.


my initial dislike for Wesley made me pretty much overlook Denisof at 1st, especially on Angel when he replaced Ed Quinn. But I've noticed the talent as i kept watching.

He blew me away in this episode.

Great episode. I loved Lilah's beaten up face. And the scenes with Fred and Wes.. and Gunn, when he knew he was going to turn, and he was like, "knock me out, do it now!" Then he started getting all crazy. What a laugh.

Really sad at the end though.. felt terrible for Wes, I think this episode made you realise how much he cared for Fred. Awww.

You do need to watch it again! I don't know if the episode as a whole is one of the best but the scenes between Fred and Wesley are superb!

The ending is all sad too.
 
This episode is just amazing.
Fred and Wesley's interaction was just chilling and terrifying. I was just shocked that they allowed this episode.
Also Lilah was very good in this episode. I always like it when they show her human side which I feel they did with this episode.

I can't stand Lilah, but that beating she took was brutal.

it was my 1st time watching this episode, so Gavin beating her totally caught me off guard.

The actor who played Billy was quite creepy looking.

Particularly the smirk on his face after leaving her office.

Full well knowing what was happening to her in there.

he almost did.

when they showed Billy at his Cousin's place, I thought "omg no!"

especially with all those women there.

when Angel showed up, thought he was going to find a Slaughter house.
