Birthday - Cordy's demony side

Okay, so Cordy got demonized so she could keep the visions. What doesn't make sense to me is why they were painless for her, after she became part demon. Doyle had the visions before he gave them to Cordy, but they were skull-splitting, excruciating pain for him, and he was half-demon.

Could the reason why the visions were painless for Cordy (post-demony) be because she had a destiny to become a higher being?

Maybe because Doyle was born half-demon!
Cordy was human when she received the visionity and she learn to live with the pain and survived the excruciating pain, even when she was completely burned and cut. She was human and survived it all. I guess being part demony made her stronger, and she was already quite strong for a human. I don't say Doyle was weak, but he was basically stronger than Cordy, who became stronger and stronger!


I mean that Doyle couldn't get any stronger as a half-demon, but Cordy's strenght could increase if she became half-demon!

Maybe her half-demon side was modelled exactly to deal with the pain of her visions? After all, it is never stated that she was turned into the same half-demon that Doyle was, especially since she never turned, well, demon-y, as Doyle on occasion did. Doyle may have been born half-demon but that doesn't mean he was the perfect fit to deal with the visions, while Cordelia, who chose to become half-demon, could have gotten one.

And since there was a higher plan for her it would be pretty stupid for her to die of pain from the visions anyway so it makes sense that she was given special powers to deal with them.

this is the way I see it....

Cordy was given the option to become half demon so that she could be able to withstand the pain. Then she was given the option to become a higher being. The both combined gav her the advantage of not only getting visions without pain, but to also be able to go back into them. Being demon had nothing to do with the ease of getting the visions. I think it was all a part of Jasmines plan to lure her into giving birth to her. Like if Jasmine gave her options to become more useful to AI, then Cordy would be more likely to take it. Plus we knew from late s4 that Jasmine planned her own birth using Cordelia. The only thing that wasn't clear was since when... and I believe it happened as soon as Cordy was given the visions. Make sense?

I'd have agree with Chocoslayer, it probably had everything to do with exposure. She had dealt with so much worse when she was human the visions must have felt like a huge relief once she became demon.

In regards to Doyle, I'd say there was a difference in attitude between Cordy and him in the way she was genuinely glad to be helping people where as I always felt like Doyle would have chosen a different path if given the opportunity. In other words, she embraced them where as they might have been a nuisance to him.
